Is there a need to backup the apps, contacts and data be4 flashing to official froyo thru KIES?
*
Froyo will help backup contacts. I didt backup anything ,problemsas installation was smooth. Seems to me those with installaton problems had previously fooled around with unofficial flashes and tweaks. If you have not done this efore, don't worry. Go ahead and flash

Media mode? I thought it should be KIES mode.
*
Before I flashed to froyo, I can choose from a list of modes immediately after I pluged in the usb. Now, with froyo, it automaticaly goes into kies mode. I can't choose any other mode.
How do I regain the mode choice list???

have you checked in setting>about phone>usb settings ?

The usb debugging is already unchecked. Still, when usb is plugged in, it goes straight into kies. No other options available sad.gif
