I dind check with sparepart, i use the dialer to access the battery usage history. Counter check by installing the marker gallery & reboot, no extra usage time for gallery fr market compare to the V8 stock one.

Reporting from froyo stock browser.
1. Playing flash is laggy. Better to disable it for better experience.
2. Mark improvement in smoothness but cannot beat eclair + voodoo.
3. Quadrant score only around 980 + only.
4. Dunno why my kernel shows root but it is not rooted (could be due to the update.zip file I left at the home directory maybe)
5. Found no improvement in batt performance, no bad either. Still the same.

Overall, like it. Hehe

looks like Doc's rom still the best!

im already on v8 .. already downloaded 8.0.1 but not planned to change yet as our 'froyo' will be turn into Docs in near time..
since v8 not causing any trouble so i dont see any point to change to 8.0.1 (yet)

for that i think you better copy the internal sd card

use titanium, it can take user data

I use Mybackup pro, when i choose the app to be backed up, i got 3 options,
1) apk
2) data
3) apk + data.

i ofcos choose option 3 la.. so whenever i flashed and restore all my datas still intact :-)

Eh my kernel version is 2.6.29 then below it got root@SE-S604 # 2..means what? Is my phone rooted? lol..

If it's rooted then how come? Cause i didn't do anything after purchasing it..

If it's not rooted then never mind..

No la... when it restore, it is via the backup u done from Mybackup pro... that why i m not afraid of wipe cache and factory reset zillion time, cos all my apps and data will be back in place haa....

No need to start from scratch.... Just Download all files to internal SD then use Clockworkmod to flash. Read post #3... " Upgrade instructions (from previous versions of THIS ROM only!)" 5 steps... just 5 minutes to complete.

For me.. i disable Lagfix and Wipe cache before i start flashing. And you will not lose any data...

But i donno why... Angry Bird and Asphalt 5 are missing in my sgs.... i had to re-install it back.. but all the save game data still there... weird...

* And i'm too waiting for V9.... heheheee...

I'm currently on Doc's Froyo Rom XXJPO 7.6.2.

Am wondering whether it is worth to flash back to our Malaysia's official DXJPA.

Have any of you guys tried changing from Doc's rom back to DXJPA.
What is your feedback?

I'm quite happy with the current JPO 7.6.2. Just hand itchy n wonder whether I should flash to a newer rom
