The character cast were revealed. And guess what? The certain de geso girl (Kanemoto Hisako) gets her big break! lol @ Silencer's reply above.

Currently a friend of mine were attending some sort of event, in which Makoto Shinkai himself were present. Here's the poster for the movie. Despite the rumors of the movie being delayed because of the quake, it'll be premiered in 2 days time. (May 6).
