Yeah & what my wish list is ability to extend exposure to more than 1 or 2 min not second!!

this is where..need to invest in tripod liao

dun put on vibrating surface lah...But honestly they need to add-in the AV mode..Otherwise it will never claimed to be near those high end digicam such as LX5/LX3/S90/S95 or even 300HS

Close object use flash can liao..What I mean is those far object-lah wth running traffic trail lights or nite sky as bright as possible ..as those image I posted on the last pg of V11.Repost of the nite shooting qualities that we want for N8 that i dun think it can at thios moment without AV mode:

So far I hv not going more than 2 min lah haha..that image was taken at ~ 1.5 min exposure if I still can remember

Nite shoot comparison between N8 (Highest ISO & Vs Canon IXUS 300HS:

N8 (Auto exposure, 1/8 sec, f/2.8, ISO 772)


IXUS 300HS (Manual exposure, 9.9 sec, f/2, ISO 125, Compensation: +1/3)


N8 not even close to IXUS liao when come to nite shooting.. ..That's why we need the manual mode!!

Dun have. except palying wth Ev & ISO. No manual adjustment to the timing as you can see I exposed Canon to 9.9 sec.

That's why need to fight for new camera firmware upgrade liao

I think TS earlier said 1/15. 1/8 consider exp to level +1.5 (I think?)

Proble is N8 dun have this how-lah..We need to fight for it lor

Yes tried..Outcome auto mode worst thus I deleted on the spot haha..Even you can see the images posted there..soooo noisy...

Oh like dAT ts wrong liao..probably 1/8 is the longest exposure on N8...

Not much diff lor..bcos IXUS I exposed longer abit haha..furthermore diff Tech..BTW. IXUS sensor size is actually smaller than N8! only ~ 2,2 compare to 1.8 on N8..

My hand probably shaking abit holding N8 but Ixus steady liao haha

Not Ixus 300HS hor...N8 failed badly compare wth Ixus 300HS

Just recheck these 2 images..

The exif detail..Exposure on N8 already the longest as well as max ISO

yeah just hoping for either new firmware or some genius to cam mod..
