The phone was being used by me for 1 week+ before passing to my sister, so i will write my feedback based on this one week's usage.
also, the phone is in offline mode during my usage, so i will not comment on the telephony part and the battery life.

Camera:
It's very, very good, totally unexpected from a phone. The video recording is very impressive as well, with the smart digital zoom and the sound recording is very good from the video i have recorded. very nice work. However, since one of the phone's focus is at the camera, i would say that i'd like to see advance manual controls like shutter speed, manual focus control, etc etc in the future, those would make the camera even powerful. As of now, i do think that the camera interface is not that convenient, hope that there will be some more frequent accessed controls to utilize the screen space

Multimedia:
No doubt this phone is very very good on this sector too. Wide codec support really saved my time in converting videos and put into my phone. As tested on the event day itself, i can straight away transfer a 720p .mkv file to the phone and play it without problem. The speaker quality is also above average, it reminds me of N81, the phone that gave me the best music experience among phones that i have owned. But there are some room for improvement, for instance, there are no custom equalization on the music player, i cant search for my song(or i don't know how), and while the interface is improved, it's still kinda boring to me...as for the Video player, i would hope to see subtitle support, both internal and external subtitles.
The photo gallery is better, but still boring, i would hope that can be improved too. Photo zooming is also another thing to be commented. While pinch and zoom works nicely, the zoom processing will only start when i let go of my hand, not real time as i zoom into the picture, unlike what being offered by Android and iOS. I would hope to see that as well on future update.

UI & System:
The UI is the same old symbian again. While i like to be familiar with stuffs, it's just boring that after so long the interface i am seeing is still the same. Personally i think that although the UI has been improved here and there, it's still not as nice as what other smartphone platforms offered. In my opinion, most the time the buttons are too big, and it let me feels that it's kind of a waste of space. The UI is not smooth, and occasionally opening folders will result in seconds of waiting time. The homescreen should have smooth scrolling. I also think theme effect should be customizable without the need of hacking the phone and accessing system folders. Homescreen customization is not as flexible as well. I hope to see some customization similar to Android in homescreen. The current firmware also is rather unstable from what the user feedback on the forums, there are bugs here and there, and also multiple cases on dead N8. Overall i think the UI will need improvement, and the OS itself will need a lot of performance optimization.

Others:
-- the text input is rather hard to get used to, or should say it's not as finger friendly as the iOS on screen keyboard. and there's no qwerty keyboard on portrait mode
--the browser is really bad, totally horrible experience in using it, it takes n attempts to tap on the right link even after zooming it, the interface for the browser is not friendly at all, crashes here and there, it's barely usable. I hope Nokia can deliver that promised new browser to Symbian^3 as soon as possible
--applications are still very very limited. I cant really complain since it's new, but i think Nokia should somehow attract more developers to build applications for the new Symbian. Games also are still not really utilizing the powerful GPU that N8 has

While N8 is a great phone, there are a few critical things that i really didnt like about it and have chosen iPhone 4 as my main phone over this. First of all it is too unstable right now, and i hate to see that the typical Symbian lags still exist. Second, i sms a lot, and due to the virtual keyboard layout, i really dislike it. Third, the browser, my comments towards it above should explain everything. Also, I really do hope to see higher resolution phone running on Symbian in the future, nHD is really too low for today's standard in my opinion.
