How you want to connect? Byond -> HDMI -> HD PVR - > HDMI -> HDTV? Is it something like that?  hmm.gif

I haven't got around to try and output the byond signal to my standalone Sony HD PVR and see if the recording on the Sony works. But based on the feedback somebody gave after I asked here, I would think the interference will come in at random. The recording itself and burning to DVD would yield a perfect copy if it's exactly like the old Astro. Just that watching live or playback through the Sony HD PVR would get the intermittent interference in and out. BTW, the Sony does not have HDMI input but via component. Output is HDMI.

I wonder if TM IPTV has censorship as Astro did...

TM's IPTV does not need censorship. It's mostly down anyways. biggrin.gif

Really ? If its down why we never hear any complaints ? They bought the newspapers too ? ! We are doomed to live with Astro I think, no wonder they are making thier way to rule the nation trying hard to be NO:1 supporter of local games,  AStro Tutor, Astro Kasih, Astro clever   OMG the list is growing ! By a commercial shown now  rclxm9.gif they are trying to claim that they were behind the UPSR performance 2010 !! icon_idea.gif

I only interested to watch BBC channels on TM IPTV.... But most of them only subscribed because of HSBB... Not IPTV...

Correct. I think TM will develop their IPTV part as it goes along. The TV part is almost like an afterthought. Cannot blame them as they are still new.

Astro is terbalik. TV business first and develop their broadband as they go along.

I see so that confirms that to date there are NO real competitors for paid TV  icon_rolleyes.gif

Sad to say, Astro is still king at the moment when it comes to paid TV. As we always know, monopoly market is never good. shakehead.gif

Yeah, that will be TOOOOOO expensive to invest for entertainment at this moment.

I remember many many years ago, Plasma TV and LCD TV cost more than RM10,000 with just HD ready. Now, we can get Full HD with just less than RM2000.

So, maybe wait wait wait until many many years later when all 3D TV drop to less than RM3000 and 3D glasses drop to RM30 per pair, then only we can invest into 3D entertainment.

So, I conclude that we are NOT READY for 3D yet. Only those RICH people are too KIASU to ready for it.

That's the price you have to pay when you are an early adopter of technologies. My 42" Panasonic Plasma (non HD ready mind you) cost about 10k. It's still running though. Made in Japan.
