Astro's IPTV link is ready, nothing great only availiable in 3 rich man zones in KL at the moment, they target high rise buildings, wherby fixing dish is not possible I think. Besides that nothing great, but quite sad to see that no more HD channels seems to be coming. They hv only last 2 HD channels to open and close ! cry.gif

What's the difference between normal astro and what they are offering via IPTV? Just the same channels without the rain-fade issue, or different ones?

I received a call from astro last weekend saying they want my max STB n exchange for the new recording beyond box.

Didn't someone else mention they got 12 months free recording or something? They didn't mention this to me.

The installer also said my bill will go up by 30 or 40rm too. I don't really want two HD subscriptions but he was confusing me saying that he can't hook up the recording box to my main TV (where my normal beyond box is now) and install a non-hd box where my max is now. He also wanted to stick another cable in behind my cabinet which will mean lots of drilling.

recently astro also forced me to change max to PVR

these are what I got:
2 years recording fee free of charge
subscription fee stay the same
pvr's HDMI port can not be used, had to use RCA socket
one extra RG6 cable is laid, existing hole is enlarge, so 2 cable gone through a single hole
2-output LNB changed to 4-output LNB, signal reduced across all outputs, now more susceptible to rain-fade cry.gif
