Activation shld be instant,u shld not hv signed the invoice until reception is made avaliable,anyway call them again cos mostly in CS are morons !

bros,by right the installer will call for astro for activation.
the installer told me that the activation will be 48hrs to 2 weeks but mine got in within minutes after activating.

if not receive for the first 2 hrs,just keep calling and bugging them.
not all cs are morons lah,they also want to cari makan.
pity them its not their fault as activation is thru their system not invented by them.
probably invented by some genius engineers who studied and graduated from UITM

I have a 3 Astro accounts under my name. Applied to upgrade to Byond for 2 of them last month. After 1 month, they can only install 1 Byond and activated after 2 days . Another account still pending for installation. It is more than 1 month. I think it is a record now.

What is worst is that they cancelled the wrong smartcard/account! Resulting my mom cannot watch Astro for days. Her decoder has not changed to Byond yet. Many calls have been made and yet they can't seems to correct their mistake.

it seems like astro is still migrating their accounting database

what the heck... is it named astro zhizun SD???

but it is in sd, so will be named as ZHIZHUN SD~~MAYBE KOK~~

But that would rob that Dez Cockhill of his job of trying to be Astro's version of Andy Gray..but ur right..would swap Andy Gray for those Astro pundits and host anyday..don't see it happening though..

Ha. Seems like I have the exact reverse situation as yours. My Byond was activated BEFORE I got the Byond decoder box. How I know? The invoice shows a huge jump and only then I knew.

Ch338 act as a 'bait' to 'lure' those potential customers.
What better time than now for them to promote this

Instead of giving us another NEW chinese channel, Astro is so cheapskate to put the same shows into 2 different channels ?

Isnt there a coaxial or optical output ?,There shld be one I think,u may connect it to HTS.

well, I applied for mine on Jan 7, it was installed yesterday, guess u'll have to wait at least 3 weeks
and regarding the non-immediate activation, after calling CS, gotten it activated yesterday, phew..... no need wait 48 hrs or 2 weeks
