I hope I can ask this question here....I'm currently using the older version of astro, the coaxial cable type and i'm splitting the output from the decoder to my hall tv and also to my room...this means the same show will be shown on both tvs....I'm curious if I can do the same with Byond since its using the HDMI cable....

Appreciate the advice....

No problem, you can do it with a HDMI splitter.

Oh, that's even easier. Just connect the HDMI to your TV in living hall and the composite out (yellow) to your room. You can indeed watch both TVs at the same time.

Oh, and let say my storage space in the decoder has been all used up. Can I use my external to record? Just plug it into the USB slot and that's it?

If you have something like AEM link, you need to buy an AV to RF converter to make it work.
But if you watch HD channel, you might get copy protection fail message.

Are you referring to PVR? Then, the answer is NO.

urgghh!!! I just had Astro Beyond installed a moment ago and was not aware that it needs activation and it's not immediate activation.

I called Astro CS and was told waiting time is fm 48 hrs to 2 weeks??!!
My mom was so happy thinking she could watch Astro during CNY and I hate to dissapoint her.

Do I just sit and wait??
