i'm about to buy a digital media player, which support HD and 5.1ch audio output. hard disk capacity is not so important and oso the wireless lan oso i assume as optional.
can anyone suggest me the model and price?

Your question is too general...what movies format do you want (mkv,rmvb etc)? what is ur budget? What other additional features is important, ex: Youtube? Do you connect to external amplifier/receiver or to TV?

Realtek based player should be good and cheap too...

(well cheaper than sigma) handle all files you throw at them....

Xtreamer should be good

if you want HDD support Xtreamer Pro then...

video format is not so critical as i can convert to the playable one.
budget... actually i don't know the price range for this product. so, maybe i can put rm500 to max only.
additional feature like online streaming or pc streaming, LAN, wireless, is not important. as long i cant plug it on TV and the output direct to speaker (that y i ask if there's a model that can output 5.1ch audio). no external amplifier.

but i oso looking if the video output can be VGA/Composite/DVD Component/HDMI.

few month ago, someone came to my office. he show me a digital media player which support HDMI and 5.1ch audio output plus wireless lan. but that was china brand. and i fogot the brand. he said the price is about rm200+ onli. oso forgot to take his contact no.

wah 200 must be AMlogic chipset..... better dont go for it if you have the budget go for Xtreamer
