Well, I was walking around in Berjaya Times Square and Lowyat Plaza yesterday after reading some of the great post about XBox Kinect.

Was thinking that it is cool. I knew it haven't arrive Malaysia, but is thinking to get at least a XBox Slim (kinect ready) so that I can plug in a Kinect in near future.

But to my surprise, the reality is:

1. Not many people carrying XBOX in BTS or LYP. Even when they have, they are old stocks or just empty box for display only.
2. Can’t find any demo unit for XBOX, but plenty of PS3 or WII
3. Can’t find any original games for XBOX easily (compare to PS3)

Asked around, and these are the normal feedback. XBOX is crap, and has a very bad hardware quality (the famous 3rod), and they all discourage me from getting a XBOX and said that Kinect is not realistic, lag, too expensive, not many games (just like PS3 move). And the worst is, no pirated game yet.

So, do you think getting a Xbox slim with Kinect is really a bad choice (at least for now)?

I read that MS had already fixed the 3rod issue and whether there are pirated games or not is not really an issue (you can’t buy more games, means less chance to get addicted).

i own a xbox360 slim and yea getting some games are really hard have to buy them trough playasia or beg some local game shop owners to get them for you here's somethings that microsoft "REALLY FIXED" in the 360 slim.

Hi there i might b new to Xbox Community...but those ppl u have met are only profit-minded..well most of them..
Its not hard to get Xbox Original games...namely u may go Gamer's Hideout...by d way..if ur planning to play pirated games then u should stop reading this comment.

Times has change, gamers are opting to play Online..if u seriously wanna go into d Online Community then dun purchase pirated stuff...U might think that u wont b needin it to play Online...later i bet dat u will regret asking another opinion abt how to unmodd yer console n stuff like dat...Pls do yer survey b4 makin d decision. Thanks for the info. Actually, I don't really play games, and I have no intention to play this xbox myself.

I am only buying it as a gift, and planing to purchase maybe 2 ~ 3 title the most. So buying original is not really an issue for me

yeah.. i have moded elite xbox... then i change to unmoded slim..... seriously.. not regret it..... want play pirate.. juz do on my pc...... xbox live.. the best server online game have in da world... wooaaa..... i new in unmodded xbox... we can trade the games later.... add me when u have it... lowgamBerat...

pirated games on 360 is a pain in the ass...going original will make sure you avoid all the problems you may encounter.

another place to buy ori xbox360 games would be at the subang avenue at ss15 area its near subang parade there's a shop there owned by an auntie she's really nice, plus she have a sealed copy of halo 3 legendary edition but price is at rm900

wait 4 future, kinect will succeed! Ms propose 4 kinect hybrid technology, which can use cntroler plus kinect 2 play game.

so M$ is admitting that kinect(button-less controller) is a FAILURE!!!
u still need buttons to play majority of games...
the only good thing about kinect is voice control, auto face recognition
others are ... ok ok la.

Last time bought a gamepad from there...it was spoilt. So i return it and got my credits back into my credit card. Waste some shipping fees, but better than total loss. Other stuff bought so far ok.
