I feel that the writer literally pulled those twist out of nowhere, since when it is established that only one medal contains the soul of the Greeed?

Also, the power levels are way off. Ankh with just an arm pwning Latoratah? Uva with only one core manages to fight off Kazari and even stole medals from him? What?

The Core within a Greeed's body (or Cell Medals) holds their conscious, regardless how many or how damaged it is.

Eg. Mezool has 6 Cores. 3 Cores taken away from her = 3 Cores become void (powerless and consciousless unless it is return to the main body that last held her remaining conscious)

Lost Ankh's case: 3 out of 6 of 'his original' Cores were damaged and him destroyed, which made Ankh (think of him as a parasite) to regain back his power and voided Cores despite not having a full body.

Kazari's case: he regain all 9 Cores and 2 extra, his own Core was damaged but was still able to held himself cuz of the other Cores, after Maki took all of em away.....he died as the only Core to held his body and conscious was damaged.

That's the weird thing though, PuToTyra's attack only shattered one of its core medals, but it was enough to be a critical blow and kazari is no longer battle capable after that? Even with one core medal destroyed, he still has eight of his own plus a lot of other types....

I feel that the writer has to write out the Greeed fast but unable to come out with a satisfying fight of OOO beating Kazari

I feel that they are rushing things though, the fights got finished particularly fast. It is far too late to build up any of the Greeed, so they kill them off. But I really enjoy the conflicts between Eiji and Ankh. Hope everything will end good for them
