QUOTE(shahz @ Nov 10 2010, 12:04 AM) You can get it from a lot of places actually, but you will end up going on a custom ROM anyway, so why bother? i don't really like the interface of the MIUI rom and i would like to try the stock rom first before i go to custom rom. so that's the reason i want to flash it back to stock ROM. and 1 more thing, how do i go into recovery mode? and there are two types of recovery i found from the net, custom and stock. how do i revert back to stock receovery? i kinda want my n1 to work like is the 1st time out of the box now. and mine is still lock bootloader.

QUOTE(shahz @ Nov 10 2010, 01:05 AM) lol..you're kidding me right? How can you have a custom ROM flashed, with a custom recovery, and still have a locked bootloader? Btw, you can visit modaco.com or xda-dvelopers.com and find a method to go stock there..Leave your current recovery..The stock recovery is not a recovery..Its just a "blank slot".. well, i am not sure either. nvm, i found some guide on the net now and i am going to try it out. thanks for your help.

QUOTE(davidwyl @ Nov 10 2010, 07:13 PM) just download the stock Froyo 2.2, put in memory card, and flash it in recovery.... all should work... * it's not advisable for u to go back 2.1 (original nexus one firmware, b4 update to froyo) bcos u need to flash the radio to old radio as well..... flashing radio can be very dangerous ... please provide more info on yr phone... what recovery u r using?? what rom?? what build number....?? thanks, i got it working d and now i am using stock 2.2 ROM. i am using this RA recovery if i am not mistaken and i already have fastboot in my n1. btw, what is radio and what custom ROM out there is the most stable so far?

QUOTE(shahz @ Nov 10 2010, 09:30 PM) Radio is the firmware that holds your connectivity stuff and there are too many stable ROMs out there to try..Since you have tried MIUI, you may want to give cyanogen mod a shot.. www.cyanogenmod.com so you are saying that if we flash the wrong radio, we might end up with useless phone? so how do we know which radio is suitable for us? will try cyanogen out once i have the chance. I have a question. Is SPL on going to affect you when flashing ROM or recovery using fastboot? I keep getting verify signature failed when flash using fastboot command.

QUOTE(wacko @ Dec 21 2010, 04:18 PM) Google Nexus Twitter account today tweeted that update is coming soon, and in “weeks” time. as a member of nexus family, i thought we could get the update as soon as they launch nexus s, now i have the feeling that they are abandoning us.
