commenting in this thread is like entering the shrine of sifus.

Anyway, I wanna know what's the difference of the backup from Titanium Backup and Rom Manager's backup option?

I sort of understand that the backup option in ROM manager is actually a Nandroid backup that backs up the entire ROM, am I right? But does this backup include the apps and smses and stuff? I've made a backup using ROM Manager and it's about 800MB big.

Rooted my Desire Z and trying out to figure out the best way to make a backup before flashing a custom ROM.

that explains the need to make a titanium backup. Forgot about the issue and flashed CM6.1.1. Softkeys did not work. Restored nandroid backup and the 2 levels i advanced in angry birds today disappeared cry.gif.

So if i happen to flash some update.zip files that are supposed to tinker with the phone (like a trackpad wake hack), and if I don't like it, restoring the nandroid backup will effectively 'remove' the trackpad wake hack, right?

Much like the system restore function on Windows, but a FULL 100% backup?
