I am planning to get a N8 in a few days time..but stuck at what color to get. Pretty silly I know :s I'm thinking of getting either the black or the silver one. Any pros and cons to either color?

Hi all...just got my N8 yesterday and sad to say I spent more time switching the phone on and off after it hung for a number of times than actually using it. Phone hung twice while I was transferring files via Bluetooth from my old phone (Nokia 5800) and once when I opened an image file I transferred.

Every time it hung it seems to take longer to restart the phone compared to the previous incident. Anyone facing this problem?

Uh nope..used it straight after the guy charged it for a few minutes at the store. Just went back to the store where they did a master reset. Have yet to try anything though as they advised to use the phone for a while without transferring anything for a few days first..which sounds kinda ridiculous as I need to transfer a lot of stuff over to the new phone as soon as possible

Just transferred a bunch of songs via USB to my N8 but they're not showing in the music playlist. They show up however, in the file manager application. Any idea on how to update the music player? Already refreshed the library a number of times but to no avail.

Copied to Sounds > Simple folder. I was using the N8 as a mass storage to transfer.

Hmm..then I'll need to install Ovisuite into my PC, no? How do you do that?

4th day in of me owning this phone and I can say that this has been a disappointing purchase. Earlier the phone hung when a call came in! Can you imagine that? I really hope that Nokia releases updates that fixes all these bugs as soon as possible T_T

It's the silver one. Is there any relation to the color of the phone with the problems it has?

This is after the master reset which the store performed after i complained of the phone hanging. Previously transferring files, opening a file and several other actions caused the phone to hang. Cousin of mine has a N8 as well, but no problems on his unit so far. Salesperson at the store where I bought my phone even said "Tengok nasib la kalau dapat phone tak bagus"

I remember in an earlier picture you posted in this thread, you had 2 mailboxes set up in your phone. I am having an issue where the phone automatically connects to my WiFi to update the mailbox even though I have changed the settings to "Ask first before connecting". The damn thing will keep connecting to the WiFi which drains the battery real fast. Problem was solved when I deleted my mailbox.

Hmm..I have yet to suscribe to a data plan (either tomorrow or the day after) but don't you have a limit or something? If left on 24/7 you'll definitely exceed the limit of the data plan. I know Digi's is unlimited, but the Maxis one I'm planning to get has a 3GB limit monthly >_<

Any Maxis mobile data plan users here who can share info if it's possible to exceed the limit if the connection is left on 24/7?

Hmm..so little usage? I removed any widgets that need updating from my homescreen as I was concerned it would automatically update itself, incurring data charges they did so. Say the widgets are not on your homescreen but in your applications folder. Will they auto update as well if connected online?
