Hi all...just got my N8 yesterday and sad to say I spent more time switching the phone on and off after it hung for a number of times than actually using it. Phone hung twice while I was transferring files via Bluetooth from my old phone (Nokia 5800) and once when I opened an image file I transferred.

Every time it hung it seems to take longer to restart the phone compared to the previous incident. Anyone facing this problem?

hey guys pls help..

today i went to eat at a hawker centre nearby my college and i decided to create a mail account there coz i wanna check mail.. and so it was created.. i used it and it was quite fine..

but after 20 mins or so.. i got back to class. my phone hang by itself all of a sudden. fortunately it could be rebooted with power on. then here is the problem.. i thought it was caused by the mail.. because everytime i entered it, the phone would hang. after like 6 or 7 times hanging and restarting, i managed to removed the mail account.

but then, i noticed that the real problem was wifi. whenever i connect to wifi, the phone would hang. like right away. its just so obvious its caused by the wifi..

another weirder thing.. i came home, knowing that my house has wifi, i was already waiting for my phone to hang. but surprisingly.. it didnt at all. and was super normal.. just like usual. now im very confused..

anyone knows the cause??

serious?? coz my class got 2 wifi oso.. my phone connect with it terus hang. both oso make it hang.

i not sure about your case but mine never hang yet till today i connect to so many wifi spot including my house 1.

Uh nope..used it straight after the guy charged it for a few minutes at the store. Just went back to the store where they did a master reset. Have yet to try anything though as they advised to use the phone for a while without transferring anything for a few days first..which sounds kinda ridiculous as I need to transfer a lot of stuff over to the new phone as soon as possible

Hung once when opening mp3 sent over via bluetooth.

hmm. i wanna be safe and make it prob free.. can i use ovi updater and reinstall the firmware? will it erase data like hard format?

Because they want to be certain its not the phone problem. If after few days no problem then once you copy stuff into your phone and it start hang the technician or expert can pinpoint the problem its your files.

my dad just get a free C3 nokia =.=" says duno where queue up got 50 C3 nokia give away ...
