I-gps only
Pros: FREE
Cons: Slow locktime

I-gps + A-gps only
Pros: Faster locktime about 5-10sec to get a lock
Cons: A minor fee apply like 10cent per request to satelitte

I-gps + Network GPS only
Pros: Very stable GPS connection and fast lock time
Cons: Major fee can reach up to RM5 or more per destination

Bluetooth GPS

Pros: Faster locktime and FREE
Cons: Burden of carrying two device and heavy battery drain on device

Wifi GPS
Pros: Free and fast locktime
Cons: Must be within wifi range usually near an indoor place

he ask "do u have data plan" ... that imply U don;t have data plan u can't use A-GPS....

I am asking "why do u need a data plan to use A-GPS"...

how do I know if my gps chipset have a problem...?
or maybe because I'm using ovi maps 3.06 beta version that cause this problem..?

if u stand at open sky without obstruction of any kind and no signal means gps module got problem but it also depending on your setting. If i-gps is not ticked u wont get signal too.

this is misleading, whether it's unlimited data plan or pay-as-you-use data, it is still data plan and A-GPS use it in order to get the position smile.gif

You need data for agps but you do not need a plan to use agps sifu
