Weeeeeee... Infinite budget, alright here's my rather simple setup :

Guitars
1) Yamaha Pacifica (Modded with Seymour Duncan JB pickup and Kinman Blues Rock Noiseless Singlecoils, Grovers tuning pegs, and better bridge for tuning stability.)
2) Yamaha SA2200
3)Gibson Les Paul Standard
4) Fender Telecaster (I'm up for any model, as long as the bridge singlecoil's there! wink.gif)
- Any highend acoustic guitar. wink.gif
- Mandolin

Into :
1) Boss TU2
2) Snarling Dogs Whine-O-Wah
3) Ibanez Tubescreamer TS9
- Yamaha AG Stomp

In the loop :
1) Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeller
2) Yamaha Magicstomp (With true bypass)

Amp :
1) ANY! Solid-state or tube, as long as it sounds good with 3 channels - Clean (Fender-like), Crunch(Neither too Marshall-y, nor too Vox-y), Overdrive (British).
- AER Acoustasonic

It's good to dream. wink.gif

i'm horrified by an original LP from '57, on which you fit EMG's... I mean, ok, at least you know on which road you're going bruce.gif brows.gif
just sell me the original pick-ups after wink.gif

as for me... ok, infinite budget, basically, you don't need that for stomp boxes / multiFX, so just guitar / amp:

- a collection of Fender Strat' serie "L"
- a wide range of post-60's LPs
- few Tom Anderson (good idea !!)
- few John Suhr
- some Vigier guitars, not to forget a Ron Thal signature for the fun !
- something for Metal... i'd go for JEM / JS , and a JEM 7-strings (universe, izzit ?)
- a double neck SG Gibson
- the Brian Moore I tried laugh.gif

amps... tough choice, too many brands..
- blackface Fender
- what's the name... this OD100 amp, custom made, that everybody is using.
- Mesa Boogie Roadking
- Mesa Boogie triple rectifier
- Carvin Legacy
- Rivera KR-55 (clean = fender, crunch = marshall, lead = marshall)

what else... oh yeah. a huge house laugh.gif and a whole squad of deaf security guards.

peavey Classic 50W 4x10"

I wouldn't recommend it for metal stuff... if you put a nice boost pedal in fron, i'm sure you can have hi-gain, but it's more the 10" speakers, you may feel a little light on bass.

I don't feel that way, but i'm half-deaf anyway... laugh.gif

Yeah. Zakk switched to MXR/Dunlop when they developed his custom Overdrive.

And I'll get it when I have the cash AND find an opening in my schedule to go down singapore. MUCH cheaper then when I can get a free ride.

The only way you'll ever own this guitar, is if you steal it from Zakk himself. Ironically, Epiphone guitars makes a replica of this, and not Gibson.

But this PARTICULAR one is unique only to Zakk because the Black "stripes" are actually embossed, giving it a 3D look.... Very freakin' awsome actually

Yeah. Unfortunately, US Residents only. *sniff* *sniff*......

So there's going to be another lucky B*****d with the buzzsaw Les Paul. But like I said, only Zakk will own the 3D Buzzsaw. That's a one-of-a-kind design

Fender Telecaster
Zakk purchased this guitar because of Albert Lee and Steve Morse. Sometimes he takes the Telecaster and plays to the mirror, imitating Bruce Springsteen.

LOL!

He has loads of cool gears there!

You damn right you better run!!!
In all honesty, I really hated Randy Rhodes tone. Seems so........ urgh.... High Fuzz.
That's why I liked Zakk's interpretation of Randy's songs. Really balls to the wall metal tone.

But yeah.... it is slightly ghey. But you have to admit, the reverse color Polka-V is MUCH better.

I'm sure there can be.
Mine are mostly Les Paul-esque style guitars and one or 2 strats for my Jimi Hendrix obsession.
I'm sure there will be alot of ESP or Ibanez guitars that I missed.
Plus, I'm very dependent on Marshalls. There are other great amps like Krank or Fender amps or even a Laney or something.

Mostly, it's a setup that Zakk Wylde would definately approve!

That opens new horizons... A gig in the near future could look like this :

"Hello everybody, thank you for coming tonight ! We're the Black Label Society ! Hell YEAH !

Unfortunately all of our instruments got a trojan horse through their bluetooth ports, from an unreliable intel-enabled empty beer can. As suspected it is now impossible to make them play anymore, they show us The Blue Screen and we can't even reboot them. Has anyone got an antivirus somewhere ?"

Fender Intelcaster could be a geek rockstar wetdream..
It sure cost like a bomb...i rather buy that big Apple LCD screen to mess around rather than that Tele.

From the pictures, it have two output so i'm sure it's playable when i turn the computer off. Plus, imagine how annoying will it be when you belt-scratched the display. OUCH!

Bringing back to live this thread!!!!!!!!

Now wish to own a Gibson HD6X-Pro guitar, a Mark Morton Signature Guitar, and the new Marshall Vintage Modern amp!!

Re-edit from the other thread:
I would get the HD6X, Swap in EMG 81/85, black sandblasted hardware, and a computer coding (think Matrix) custom paintjob with black background on green text. Call that one Cypher 0, and then have another one with Duncan Jazz and Jb pickups, with a green on black paintjob instead..... call that one Cypher 1.....

And then a super custom called Cypher -0 which is the same as Cypher 0, but with a LCD screen for the body!!! Total dream that one.......

I've been a guitar player since puberty and that's a long time ago.. started out with a Kapok and one song "I started a joke" G-BM-C-D7. biggrin.gif
Fast forward to 2007, I got a PRS Modern Eagle, couple of Fenders, Godins, Tacomas, Takamine, Gibson L5 (scavenged) etc and just got myself a TC Electronics G-System which I'm running with an MXR Dist+, Sansamp Classic, TS808 Reissue into a Handmade Valve Amp (no brand, my dad got a builder to make the head in the US) which drives a Celestion 30W Vintage 12" cabinet. I have a perpetual GAS and have been through countless amps, guitars and pedals. As with most of u on the forum, I'm still looking for the dream setup and one of the best amps I'd ever owned is the Mesa Boogie Subway Blues, too bad it is sitting idle cos there're some problems with the circuit board (cracking noises all the time, not due to the valves, I had them changed).
My dream setup: Eric Johnson's rig.

Here are some pics.. wink.gif

Attached Image

Above are what I use most of the time.. '91 Clapton Strat, '06 PRS ME, Fender '77 Music Master with Duncan Quarter Pound P/U, TC G-System, Boss Loop Station, couple of pedals, Hand made amp head, Yamaha O1X Mixer...

Attached Image

Above are what I can squeeze into the pic.. tongue.gif incl. Godin ACS, Fender 70's Coronado (ES-335 copy), 50's gibson Jazz Archtop (rebuilt by my dad), 90's Tacoma Acoustic, rare 80's Ovation Black Death Metal Guitar (rare becos nobody bought 'em), 90's Hohner Steinberger Licensed Headless Guitar (ya the one with the head chopped off at the centre top of the pic above the monitor speaker), 70's and 80's P-Basses, the amps under cover Fender Twin Amp Reissue and AER Acoustic Amp.

Some not in the pic - NI Guitar Rig. Assorted Boss Pedals for Bass (OD, Chorus, Octaver, EQ), Sansamp DI for Bass, Dunlop 535Q Wah, 80's Peavey Chorus Pedal (real crappy and noisy), late 40's Sheffield Jazz Archtop, Tacoma Papoose, '82 Takamine Classical, Pignose Guitar with built-in amp and speaker (yes!), Vox 15W Amp, Fender Acoustisonic Amp, and my beloved Mesa Boogie Subway Blues Amp (sent to Ceriatone for repair). Also, Line 6 FloorPOD, Samson Wireless Guitar Bug and some other bits and pieces of gear collected over the years..

Yes it had - the TBX Tone Control but I took it out together with the Lace Sensors and put in a set of Texas Specials. Reason was because the TBX controller kaput and I could'nt get any replacement for it then.. I never did find any use for the mid-boost when I had 'em in the guitar anyway.. so.. this guitar I got it fitted with the Buzz Feiton tuning last year (Guitar Store) and it sounds great and stays tuned all the way up to the 30th fret nod.gif

Yeah.. u're right.. Bentley didn't hav it. The actual problem was with one of the pots rated at 50k Ohms which kaput.. the actual circuit board is still fine i think. i may be wrong but EC's Blackie does not have the TBX just regular single coils, that's why i had mine removed tongue.gif

The Pignose? Hmmm.. got it from Swee Lee SG many years back.. not too good but then again it's cheap and cheerful. Very short scale more suitable for kids. Y i got it? I had this vision of stuffing it when I travel overseas into a suitcase.. didn't work out so now it's collectin dust.. smile.gif

Yup! The rig's my pride and joy but again, still on the lookout for a nice vintage Tele, an LP and if not too much to ask, the Vai Jem in White with Gold HW and the Twirly Vine Inlays? Guess once the GAS pedal hits the metal, there ain't no stoppin the acquirin! Also on the list, an Orange Tiny Terror! wub.gif

The PRS ME I got it from Tom Lee in HK last year for HK$40k ~ RM 20k. Heard that it's sellin for RM32k one of the shops in Subang (they got a Faded Blue Jeans finish I think) and RM 39k if you special order through Mahogany doh.gif

The ME.. the tone is transparent and resonant with 30-hour sustains, one of the all-time greats from PRS IMO. I tried a couple of 22's and 24's and was about to put my money down on a Custom 22 when they pulled out the ME. at the time, I've not even heard of the ME but it was love at first sight wub.gif things kinda moved slow motion after tat (like in 6M$ man) and I just knew what needs to be done. btw, I fell in love with the case too.. nod.gif

I don't remember seeing the Tremonti Sig then.

Done.. it's in the Flash Us thread.
On the price of the PRS ME, yeah, agreed, RM 20k is a lot of money.. and no, I do not trade guitars nor earn a living from music in any way (well, at least not anymore). smile.gif

The price for the PRS Dragon > US$ 20k, I think I saw this price advertised in one of the mags some time ago. To some people they treat it as an investment and lock it up but I play the heck out of my guitars. whistling.gif

speaking of expensive. My guitarist said today about his guitar:

"I'm thinking of selling 2 of my LPs and buying a house"

First time i heard such a sentence tongue.gif. I instantly put the LP back on the stand and kept a 5m distance from it throughout the entire practice session laugh.gif. But it was a beauty. 1956 LP with a nice gold colour. Market value USD 125k and rising. sweat.gif Darn vintage guitars....

EDIT: and now i can boast to everyone that i held a USD 125k guitar in my hand laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

i did actually. But having stopped playing guitar for quite some time i couldn't really pull off anything fancy. But even if you played a single note on that thing, you won't believe your ears. The tone on that thing is ....i can't even describe it. Played it on a marshall plexi from the 70s with some vintage marshall 4x12 bass box. And now i can really understand why you guys are so crazy about LPs. I was always a strat fan until now. Of course i still love my strat sound, but this LP was not from this world.

But like i said, after i heard how much it costed, i didn't dare to touch it anymore.

There's a real sweet looking ESP SV at Guitar Collection MidValley going for 8k. Black with white bevels, gold Floyd Rose and hardware, ebony fretboard.

I think that would be my dream off-set V... except for the white bevels, probably. On 2nd thought, they kinda make the guitar look a bit cheap... biggrin.gif

The ESP AL and the RR24 is a bit scary though, with only one pickup... If you're only gonna play rhythm, it's not too bad. But playing lead with only the bridge pup? Your chops gotta be super-clean to avoid sounding like a train-wreck... hehe... biggrin.gif

Of course I don't have money for this damn setup.

Gibson Les Paul single cut / Black Manson

I'm not fussy on amps, but mebbe 1 from Vox

Zvex Fuzz Probe + Fuzz Factory

Modding a KORG KP 2 touchscreen on the guitar

George L's cables are nice...Since I'm using it now xD

I actually almost got what I want. but let me just be greedy abit.

guitar: My Dean, angel of sorrow (I wished I could put a mm-04 preamp booster in it. but none in malaysia)

Acoustic: My tangle wood evolution is the best already

Pedals:
EHX metal muff, dime distortion
Boss metal core, Ds-1
Boss pitch shifter
My Boss wah pedal (I don't know what is the model, but its better than a cry baby)
My Boss ME-25 (its sexy)

Amp:
Randall ninja-120 michael amott signature

it will be cool if anyone knows a way of getting a mm-04 preamp booster.
