your menu show no application?...

1) Seriously try rebooting again..
2) Try askin your friend what he did.
3) repost and ask question again.

you got reboot or not.
if yes try the removing battery for 5 min and then reinsert the battery again..(never tried this method usually i see a lot of forumers suggest this)

BTW if none work manual flash will settle ur nightmare i guess.

Yeah 4% is a big difference. The libraries are always the biggest part in root more with the more apps installed.

The moveroot script still works like a charm though but do use with care...

did you have apmefor installed?

Ok most likely your menu file is corrupted.

Using Putty go into your phone's terminal and delete the hildon.menu file



After you reboot, it should regenerate the original file. Hope this helps

Well I used it many times with no problems. Freed up about 10%, basically it moves the nokia maps stuff and local information. However the coution is that for some moving the locales results in a broken UI cause the locale info is missing.

yes no app show. and desktop short click also nothing happen
he also dunno what he do he simply click!! haiz...

i rebooted 5 times d and i ask him he also dunno.. i let a noob phone user friend play.. haizzz

what happen to my phone after restart can't access to menu? when menu empty? what happen and how to fix? before tat my friend used my phone... zz

Your app menu is corrupted. Follow the instructions I set.
Search google and download putty. Login to your phone IP. Login info should be the one set when you installed ssh server.

1. Get Putty.exe from here (http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/x86/putty.exe)
2. Put it anywhere on your desktop.
3. Try to get the WLAN IP of your N900, your router page might list it.
4. Using Putty.exe, input the IP of your N900 and enter
5. Login using your SSH password, Login ID is "root" while the password would be the one you set on your N900 when you installed SSH Server
6. Do the edits below:-


Alternatively, you can add a shortcut to terminal on your desktop if still possible. Then do step 6 via the terminal, after gaining root of course via 'sudo gainroot"

Just follow rest of the steps Seems to be pretty clear, you dont need to install anything on N900 if you already got SSH server installed. Just login to your N900 via putty and do step 6

Hmm, you mean rootfs = a lot of space, application memory = full? Or the other way around?

The app memory partition is the 2gb partition btw.

jananan posted a way to install webos games to MyDocs (rather then the app ppartition) a few posts back... Or maybe I saw it on TMO, not sure. Anyways, go check.

Hmmm, I now feel like modding a dpad/trackpad on the face of the N810, so much wasted space lor on the front bazel, I wonder if the parts for a dpad/small trackpad can fit in there.

Re-wiring will be a total pain though.

Either that or coming up with a smooth level bazel ala the N900 (the N810 has an edged touchscreen like the 5800). But actually having to fabricate new parts is ugh really.
