QUOTE(mashimarow @ Nov 4 2010, 08:59 AM) smartphone like a pc, when there is a time something crash and shut off is the only way, unless N8 has a reset system, else locked battery will continue provide power to the phone hence as a warm reboot, not a hard reboot. Another bad point is, when you are out of battery and there is no charger around, you can't swap battery Nop... Not working at all .. Now I can't even bring up the symbol menu .. Added on November 4, 2010, 9:00 am just like windows, try ctrl+space to switch language input? last note is mscim will crash the virtual keyboard, not sure PR1.3 fix it or not, I don't have phone on hand to test it Control + Blue arrow, right? |

QUOTE(tonyvyp @ Nov 4 2010, 11:32 AM) first, mind telling me how do u install it? thru app manager or offline using .deb files? i'm using offline install. yea i figured tat out just now coz i din key in anything.. i tot theres a menu tat shows pinyin enabled or something like tat.. theres few inputs depending on wat u installed.. it sux though and i already removed it.. two major problem if u use this chinese input is no virtual keyboard where u can put symbols and cant copy-paste..wat i did is from setting, go language & region, change device language (scroll to the most bottom, u should see 3 new language chinese (hong kong), chinese (PRC) and chinese (taiwan)) switch to either 1, then restart ur phone now open a notepad or conversation, hold ctrl + space (not the blue arrow, its spacebar) to activate if u're on pinyin mode, u wont see any diff until u started typing, if u're on handwriting mode, then a box should appear at ur bottom right screen If it works, then feel free to change back to english language (well, u'll hav to change back even if it doesnt work lolz) just noticed new thing...pressing shift + ctrl will switch between input mode...din know that before some screenshot : » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i just installed mscim yesterday...now its working perfectly well, and yes, it still crushes the virtual keyboard on PR1.3 but i dun mind thou, prefer the physical keyboard theres other release called emecs or something like tat but its far more complicated to get it running.. i will just skip chinese input since i dun understand chinese word.. |

QUOTE(hengguowei @ Nov 9 2010, 10:43 AM) My friend all no problem also.. Weird.. I'm the unlucky one.. QUOTE(mashimarow @ Nov 9 2010, 10:43 AM) DIGI also having this problem, mostly around 11pm to 1am, suddenly lost of line, then on again It automatically on back.. I need reboot.. I am using Digi too, thought of changing to smart plan after I get my dream phone Maxis would be the most expensive but most stable line of all At least digi better than maxis at this part.. If its really loosen.. it should lose signal when I move the phone around. The network lost when i put the phone on table.
If its telco problem. Even if i reboot the network also will be poor. Now sounds like a bug for my phone. I go to phone connectivity and changed it to GSM & manually select MY MAXIS. See how it goes... Can't turn off the CALL FORWARDING.. I set to NO and SAVE.. When i get back.. Still the same.. BTw, how to turn off the auto-rotate.. Damn annoying.. |

QUOTE(hengguowei @ Nov 9 2010, 07:30 PM) urm...not always...on specific cases, I think there's a bug. I tried taking a photo the other day, the dragon gold thing. I set 1 settings. Forever hang, I need to kill the processes using HTOP. More than 5 times. Then I change settings, then ok already. I think there's a bug in the software. I'll try and play play with the setting first then .. Added on November 9, 2010, 7:31 pm Slide down in FCAM app, select Autosave to N900 gallery. Then you will see the JPEG format. those in FCAM folder are in dng format. Added on November 9, 2010, 7:49 pmCheck my set of N900 photos out http://bit.ly/a4njnX Anyway, regarding the DNG format.. Is the quality better than JPEG? I see the file size is around 10.6mb.. I delete all cause can't view 'em .. |

At least i know what program can open RAW incase i need it .. but actually no point cause view the JPEG easier lar.why want to make life difficult? QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Nov 9 2010, 08:53 PM) Sifu heng havent master what's raw for. Nvm i speak behalf of sifu Heng. Oh.. Photographer sure know what it is .. Thanks .. RAW format is big because it keeps all the setting in it so u can adjust brigthness, colour etc without ruin the photo. Jpeg u do that the quality will run abit. Thats why DSLR have choice of Jpeg or RAW |
