it seems to boot faster, pretty fast i'd say.

just got it working, gonna try few things

Added on November 11, 2010, 3:32 pm

yes, because you make another partition in your phone so it won't affect maemo.

So will there be a GUI that states which OS you gonna boot into when you on your phone?

Already checked it.
Under the events it's stated that meLi deleted the files.Or I think that's his username.
After the root done flashing execute the 2nd set of command.

No need

CODE
flasher-3.5.exe -F R.bin -f

CODE
flasher-3.5.exe -F RE.bin -f -R

Did you notice the "-R" at the 2nd command? It the command to reboot after the flashing complete.
Your device will only reboot after it's done flashing the eMMC aka the internal memory.
*
Grandmaster memang grandmaster but i saw this video that shows his phone rebooting then he turned it off and flashed the emmc.. hmmm...
thanks notworthy.gif
p/s: maybe you should update the FP with this info.. probably help alot of noobies like me.. haha

What is this 'last call for female to female adapter'?
*
It is an adapter that allows you to connect two usb cable head-on together..
You know the USB plug the head where you plug it into your com?
That is call male head...
Female-female usb adpater allows you to connect two male head together..
For example two pen-drives connecting together..
So with the female-female adpater, you can some sort of plug your pendrive into ur phone

Cool.. Where can I get it? Means, I don't have to connect the phone to the PC to transfer if let's say, the items are in the pendrive?
Just connect it with female to female adapter? smile.gif

jus very curious.. isnt the cable should name as male 2 female adapter??
*
Nope... male 2 female means there is a male and a female in the adapter..
Since this is 2 female.. so it is called a female 2 female adapter

Apple & Linux is like oil & water.
Never mix together.Apple never encourage & sometime prevent open source development on their platform.
Microsoft on other hand don't exactly encourage open source but at same never prevent them either.

Remember unlike any other mobile OS in the market,Maemo is nearly a full blown linux based OS.Since most of the N900 users are linux fan or at very least likes it,it's formal for us to feel anti-apple.
It's nice to be used as guinea pig laugh.gif
*
Yeah i agree on Apple and Linux is like oil and water
But i feel for me in terms of memory distribution and usage is more efficient compared to Windows
that's what i feel..
but pricey.. i got my macbook pro free.. so why not ^^
But Linux is full of unexplored potential, something which i like..
