few minor fixes and it would be great....
1) a bit more 2D and 3D acceleration. (after OC interface is smoother experience than maemo)
2) not stuck at 500Mhz all the time - getting warm and depleting battery when idle
3) once they tweak the device profiles - marketplace should work just fine
yeah, i have to agree, its almost 70-80% complete for all functions...
once they get a working ofono from meego, voice calls should work too.
since i am using it as a tablet, not as a phone - i would say its 90% complete.
PS : i think i need a new camera button soon....

hard to tell if its working but its not rebooting or crashing.
Added on November 21, 2010, 11:10 amnow... can anyone suggest a good music player for android... with EQ and non-stuttering on N900...
the default player in NITdroid kinda stutters a bit...
hmph, and the camera app isn't even working in Nitdroid.
I don't get stuttering in Maemo default player. You will get stuttering if you multitask too heavily right? That's the problem when you have swap memory

Okay everyone, its time for me to ask you guys something.
I was planning to get N900 instead of N8 by end of this month for my upcoming birthday (self celebrate). Just to ask few question after i've been reading all about N900 can do here and there.
1st- Is it still relevant to get the phone about 1 year of production? Is nokia going to produce the successor soon? any news?
2nd- Understand that under certain circumstances, flash 9.4 didnt really cooperate well with some heavy flash site hence require 10.1, is it possible now to get upgrade the flash file?
3rd- Let say if i want a phone that also have full flash and good battery life and internet connection, is there any suggestion?
4th- If i bought N900, can I get someone for TT session so perhaps could teach me some small tricks / hack my phone?
thanks
1) Though it's a rumour that N9 is the succesor, but I'm sure a device is coming very soon to take over N900 because they need a new device to boast their Meego OS.
2) No, it's not possible to get an upgrade to 10.1. The closest thing you can do is tweak the flash profile to newer version to trick sites that you are using newer version of flash support. This will allow you to play flash content based on Flash 9.1 and below but require Flash 10.1 profile.
3) If full flash is your concern, I suggest you look into Android phones with Android 2.2 aka Froyo which offers you Flash 10.1 support. Battery life on N900 is not at all ideal. If you don't mind charging your phone twice or even thrice a day with heavy usage, it's alright. I cannot suggest what phone has good battery life. Please check the capacity of the battery and specification for that particular phone you are looking for (the higher the mAh, the better, putting away the difference in power consumption caused by screen size, screen type, OS processor clock speed, and so forth). I do not understand the meaning of good internet connection said. Most phone have almost if not similar internet performance through Wifi unless you're looking into 3.5G and things like this. Check the network support for the phone and maximum transfer rate. Malaysia do not have such high speed anyway.

4) Everyone here is awesomely helpful

I'm sure there're lots of people who are more than willing to get you a TT session.

Its ok ad actually after i reboot
There's some specific settings that will crash the FCAM I think.
I tried taking a photo again and again with the same settings and not once did I pass the crashing part. after I changed the settings a bit and reshoot, it worked.
