This is something quite new especially in Malaysia. And best of all, it's FREE. So, i'm sharing it with LOWYAT forumers. It works on most of the smart phone (Iphone/Blackberry/Android based) Its a free GPS navigation (something like malsingmap?) but needs input from the community to perfect it. You can contribute your POI, buildings, food outlets, speedtrap, etc.

As you drive/walk/ride, the navigation records down your movement/ your speed etc/ your current location. So, you will know the latest traffic/roadblack etc.

Used it before, unless there's more people in Malaysia using it, I don't see how it'll work.

Besides, the need of having your data turned on is an obstacle on how popular this app will be.

The only downside - the application uses your data to run. Apart from that, its ok, but more input needed.

It's still new in the market. Therefore it will take sometime. Unless they are demand from the community.

Had this app but removed because:-
1. its really bad in finding street address. Only seem to be able to find major buildings and dunno why keep giving me addresses outside Malaysia
2. Not designed for touchscreens, so a bit tough to handle on Storm series phones
3. The app is a huge 2MB. And that doesnt even include voice directions yet.
4. Speaking of voice directions, mine never worked (and I tried on two different BB phones)

Ovi Maps is still the best.

apparently its not available in Malaysia. I'm talking about the GPS navigation, unless if you use cracked, brut google map (only for android), not for blackberry. Sigh

kinda obvious but not sure if malsingmap fella and malfree fella knew bout this but maybe u could try promoting in that forum too as they have quite a few hardcore mapper there. They dnt make Garmin xt anymore hopefully sumthing free like this will be standard in the future. Think bout it,this gps sw can make money through ads.
