hi sifoo's

i've been using bitDefender AV on ubuntu n it works fine.. juz that im not sure that
bdc --update do actually update the virus def. or not..

but the problem is that my company server was infected by virus n now its blocked to enter the network.. so im helping to take care of teh problem since the person in-charge juz resigned..

as the server (redhat 7) was blocked, so i need to dload the AV manually.. lucky RH7 is on kernel 2.4.x.. ditDefender need glibC rite?
besides that what else i should expect to dload to run the AV? (everything need to burn on cd, coz i dont have an idea to mount the pendrive)
n i seem couldnt find the updates virus def. on bitdefender site?
anyone can upload ur updated virus def. file here?

thanX
sorry if its freakin noob question

-------------------------
argh, having problems with glibC sweat.gif
is there any difference between RH7 n RH7.3 ?
glibc version for RH7.3 can be used on RH7 rite?

------------------------------------------------------

been google for some time..
found other linux antivirus..
some of them require perl 5.8, but RH7 only have perl 5.6...

gosh, i really need help for easily to install on RH7 w/o too much patching huh.gif sad.gif

-----------------------------------------------------

nvm, AntiVir saves my day smile.gif thumbup.gif

bit denfender? for me i use AVG. i felt it more trusted, ofcause there is few other antivirus is good. if current antivirus do nothing to protect ur network or server i think is time to change.

i just installed AVG TCP Server on my LINUX 9 server. that is seldom linux will get virus. i use it to protect my client pc. and your redhat version cant support pen drive same with my redhat9 i think it need newer version to support pendrive try to update patch it might help.
