ive told u guys i'll record once i get back to kuching. unfortunately i am very busy as i am playing as a sessionist for one band right now(and gig in a week time, maybe 2 more gigs after that. even recording a demo is being discussed.). so if i am free i'll record, and probably join in the jam session if jemi isnt doin it. ive heard the solos you guys play. cool stuff!

dammit..i posted smth last night and then it got deleted

well i posted an impromtu song right after i did it last night. was trying to tweak my gear to get a certain tone and my laptop was recording it. half way i heard what i recorded and thought a small part would make a good backing track so i just hit the record button and solo-ed over it in one take. as i was still tweaking my gear and didnt plan on really doing a recording, the quality is quite bad, not to mention the tonnes of mistakes in there. drums were added using reason. all done withing half an hour or less last night.

thanks. thats very encouraging. well like its not that good coz its just me playing straight from my head, no preplanning whatsoever. i recrded the solo right after i came up with that riff so that makes it worse. lol

started, recorded and mixed this song early this morning before going to church. sort of a rush and improv effort too, but spent more time and effort in it compared to my last song posted here (and i still wonder why pix hasnt said anything...but anyways....).

its really a mix of different things from metal to classic rock to bit of blues plus techno with a pop touch. effects using boss gt8. listen to it in stereo guys! headphones are even better

not so much on shredding(sorry guys) but a more melodic approach to fit the song.

echobrainproject - 3am on a sunday morning

sounds like a live recording so in terms of sound quality it isnt that good. i didnt like the sound of the hi hats and cymbals. ur drummer has to be more consistent on the snare and bass. the lead guitarist should be more daring and confident. other than that its nice.

dloading now. with that amount of equipment im sure itll be very very impressive

the bass is really soft and thin though. maybe u can try compressing, followed by some EQ and then increase the volume of it? should improve it i guess

i forgot to mention play around with the gate(attack and release). it should help.

but the song was GREAT!!! i really liked it. simple and sweet. vocal harmonies are nice, although not really accurate at certain parts (but who cares, it was still good). would be really cool if you could do a proper recording of the song.
