Thanks : )

I dont have myspace and I personally felt that Youtube is a great place to promote your music. Usually I will attach my video with my Official Download Page.

Im using DAW such as Mixcraft with some VSTi instruments, the quality of the sound depends on the VSTi instruments you use i guess.

I didnt study music, in fact, Im a Pharmacy students. I just love to compose music. : )

It will be wonderful thing to be accomplished smile.gif

Hi to all forumers and professionals out there,

I only learnt piano for 4 years but I have the passion in composing music.
Below is the link to my official website.

Steven's Musical

Please spare some time listened to my compositions and leave some comments or suggenstion for improvement.

Erm... ...

I started to doubt myself after read through 5 pages of posts in Musician section.

Few months ago I started to compose music and I did received good response for my Dreamland and Variation of Canon in D from people around me. I think Im the weirdest composer in the world because I cant even play my piano solo pieces on a piano. All of my composition are made using DAW, hence all of them are virtual music.

Few days ago a famous wedding company from Singapore contacted me for collaboration and live performances, but I have to reject the oppurtunities because I dont even know any notes or chords of my compositions.

No matter what, I will still continue to compose music... not for money, but for myself and those who like my music : )

@little ice & davidgary73

Thanks for the advice, now I know what I need to do with my future compositions.
May I know any software that is better than Mixcraft?

I've posted my compositions at various forums or boards and your comment is the most helpful one.
I think maybe I should revert back to my piano solo works because I do notice the imbalance in the instrumentals of those latest music I made.

Im also planning to buy a keyboard after I saved some money to learn how to play them out (I know whats the emotion i want for those music but they just sound different using virtual piano). All these while Im making music in my head then click on the virtual keyboard note by note, maybe its time for me to try out something better.

P/S: Its true that I never released the sustained pedal throughout the music. This is true for all my other compositions because there is no pedal function for the midi maker I use... I should try something better than that too.

Anyway, thank you very very very much : )

@pleasuresaurus

Mixcraft indeed sound very "midi". I'll heed your advice and try out those advanced softwares but since my budget is kinda tight at the moment, I'll try the trials first and learn how to use them. I'm still a beginner, hope I can become a good composer in the future =)

By the way, Im kinda curious about this. Did you all ( I mean little ice, davidgary73, you and others) took a degree in music related field to become a musician/professional composer?

Ok, so basically what I need to do is get a midi keyboard and record all my composition again with both of my hands right?

Thanks guys for all the guidance and your willingness to advice me. I really appreciate it.
I'll stop all my enquires regarding composition here and Im sorry for leading the direction of the thread to something irrelevant to the topic.

Cheers~

Not original, but a piano cover I made for Jay Chou's 鞋子特大号 (Extra Large Shoes).

I blend in Tetris theme as well. 😁

Hi guys,

I've made a couple of covers and rearrangements for Yiruma's song.
I'm not a professional musician, so pardon me for any mistakes.

My take on River Flows in You & Canon in D, a MASHUP cover.
