if im not mistaken, i bought my dumbell set from jusco/carrefour(cant remember) for about RM70 for 10kgs. i think that's bloody cheap, since its solid iron, and you can use it for the rest of your life. and it does wonders to your body too. investment, bro.

QUOTE(bigbangformula @ Nov 2 2010, 09:49 AM) Btw,do these metals rust? Ah,that's cheap too, those sets that u bought, the weights can be changed too? i don't think they rust. they are stainless steel. my dumbell has been around for more than 5 years and it's still ok. and yeah, the weights are adjustable.

oh, im not really sure whether it's stainless steel or coated with something but whatever it is it still haven't rusted yet. btw, the 10kg barbell is adjustable. you don't have to lift all 10kgs. just use the bar and put a 1kg barbell and you should be fine.

hypermarkets would be cheaper definitely. quality-wise, there's not much difference, especially for beginners and all. it's the brands that the fitness stores sell that makes it expensive. now go and buy and show it to us
