i now choosing this 2 model Sony HT-DDW5500 vs Pioneer HTP-820SW .

But problem is Sony HT-DDW5500 i cant find in Malaysia

can any suggest me ??

Cheapest i get for Pioneer HTP-820SW is RM2899

I'm sure paskal did a comparo between the HT-DDW5500 and the older pioneer 819 set...

Pioneer was a lot better...even for the bass.

Even on Paper the pioneer 820 is the clear winner...HDMI1.4 support, HD audio etc

I know the amp is good but i dunno how is the speaker

Speakers are adequate.

My next step would be changing the surrounds, center speaker and tweaking the fronts if i got more money

The existing surrounds can be used for the Dolby Pro Logic IIz set up...but for that you'll need to add small intergrated amp as the AVR is only 5.1.

If you are seriously thinking of adding a lot of speakers..get the 1020 model.

Wait for other ppl to comment also.
