Hi all!
Torch 9800 newbie here but Bold 9000 oldie.

Just wanna ask, why is it the red color Torch has only one LED notification hole (next to the BlackBerry wording) while the white one has two?

One is LED, one is proximity sensor. Both has it, only visibility difference because the white makes it obvious.

Thanks mengsuan for the answer.

I am assuming that the proximity sensor works when the phone is close to our face and the screen will automatically go blank (in order to save battery). It seems that the function didn't work on my red Torch 9800.

Mind telling me where to enable the function? It seems that I can't find it.

There's only 1 notification LED for the Torch, be it black, white or red.

The other one you see is the proximity sensor.

Noted, with thanks.

But why izzit the proximity sensor is unseen in the red Torch? Even my screen protector also have one hole in it, which is for the LED notification light.

Nothing serious, only curious. brows.gif

I thought Torch 9800's chipset is not strong enough to carry OS7?
