QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Nov 11 2016, 06:46 AM) Nice. How much the cheapest model with HDR and 4k function? Tempted because PS4 going to utilized those functions. I just bought the 49" KS7000 from 11 Street. The price is around RM3300+ (after Tech Tuesday discount and voucher) and I must say I'm quite satisfied with the TV. The 4K HDR demo video really shows what KS7000 is capable of, a beautiful piece of entertainment machinery. Can't wait for my PS4 Pro to arrive (if only the pre-ordered customers are treated better I already playing with one right now!) as KS7000 is the recommended TV for HDR Gaming in 2016 as of this review: http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/ks8000

QUOTE(drunkonpiss @ Jun 6 2017, 10:37 PM) Hey guys, Just wanted to share with your my experience with Samsung Customer Service for the issue I had with my KU6000. I had this flickering issue with my TV. Thought i'm gonna have a hard time to claim the warranty but it was a breeze. I kinda neglected the issue as it was not a deal breaker for me. Called TB where I bought my TV on Wednesday and I was informed someone from Samsung will call me soon. Expected to be contacted about a week but I got a call on Friday saying a technician will check my issue. Technician came by and looked at my issue. It's a legit issue and most 4k TV would encounter it as per him. He wasn't surprised and immediately he concluded to replace my panel. Thought the Panel replacement would take a week or so but the part came on Monday! So the Technician removed the old panel and replaced it with the new one just like that. I was told that parts were made in Vietnam and it's a brand new one. Noticed a difference in terms of overall picture quality. So far, I'm happy with their service albeit the issue I encountered. Thanks for the info @drunkonpiss. Looked like you got a great experience with Samsung aftersale service. My KS7000 currently have two point of lightbleeding issue on the bottom panel of the tv but nothing that is too disturbing when watching the tv at a normal viewing position. If it get much worse in the future I'll be sure to give Samsung a call for a checkup.

QUOTE(OPT @ Jun 6 2017, 11:40 PM) Actually I have called Samsung Service Line...they can remotely connect to your TV to diagnose any issue. Quite gooding, but a bit scared seeing some issue with KU6000 here... Yeah I saw the option for remote connect in the menu but can they fix the problem after they diagnose it? Did you already try it yet? I think as long as your tv are covered you don't have to be so scared. Just hope for the best and if your tv has a problem you better hope it is still in the warranty period. That what I plan (hope?) for my tv anyway.

QUOTE(OPT @ Jun 7 2017, 12:11 AM) They remotely access after I click to allow access(?) Can't really remember although just last month The story goes... A couple of days earlier i saw 2-3 dots (something like dead pixels ), called Samsung and they said wanted to remotely access and pointed to me how to go about it... Somehow while doing this, the dots disappeared even before they managed to access my TV. Still they did some diagnosis and assured me that IF any problem in future just contact them (was quite happy with assurance after that). Till today, fingers crossed, no problem thus far. QUOTE(voncrane @ Jun 7 2017, 12:16 AM) Yep, one has to enable some setting and allow remote access.. I've had them connect to troubleshoot a connected BD HT. Due to a firmware update that messed things up. Couldn't get or they didn't trust me with a downgrade file and instead, sent a technician over to manually downgrade the firmware.. So far, not bad Samsung CS.. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll be sure to call and ask whether they can look into the KS7000 lightbleeding problem or not. Although I don't have much hope that they can fix it remotely it's better to try something than do nothing, right?

Hi guys, just want to share my experiences here in this thread on dealing with Samsung Customer Service when claiming for warranty for panel replacement. Here goes:
I'm one of the lucky owner of KS7000 which I have purchased on 1 November of 2016 before it went scarce. Everything great with its SUHD display especially when playing HDR PS4 Pro games on it. After a few months I noticed one tiny dead pixel on it. It's okay no big deal whatsoever. However after one year of having the KS7000 suddenly my screen have a single white line that spread horizontally across the screen from side to side.
I called Samsung Customer Service, explained to them of my problem and after going through remote management and after I email them the current condition of the screen, the HQ technical team decided that the panel need replacement as the TV is still covered under its 2 years local manufacturer warranty. It's really a smooth experience in dealing with Samsung CS, after a few days my local Samsung Tech team came to my house and replace a new panel for my TV.
However the new panel have a slight defect, in which there is a small white pixel near the center of the screen. I tried contacting Samsung CS again but have low hope for them to replace the panel as I have read somewhere before unless the new panel have a noticeable defect, they will not replace it with a new panel. To my surprise they agreed to replace it with another new panel, the new did not have a single defect and the whole process took less than 7 working days. I'm really impress with Samsung after sale services, especially since my KS7000 is located in what is considered one of the rural area in Malaysia. I'm looking forward to have another Samsung product in the future.
TL;DR: Owner of KS7000, panel got issues after one year, contacted CS, replace it and got defect replacement panel, replace it again with a new picture perfect panel. Whole process took less than a week and I'm a one happy customer.
