What do you guys thnk about Samsung's KS7500 vs LG SJ850t?

Seems like the latter is bout RM 700 pricier & supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision vs KS7500. However, the LG has a 10 bit panel, which means Dolby Vision won't work 100% right ,
since it needs a 12 bit panel? People seem to speak highly of KS7500's capabilities/performance as well.

I can't seem to find a good comparison between these two models wrt to HDR support, nits performance, gaming capabilities etc. Seems like rtings skipped this Samsung model.

Any thoughts?
Thanks!

KS7500 = KS8500, rtings got review on this model. Seem like its picture better than SJ850t.

wow, if this is the case, then it seems much better than the LG's one. But LG's one supposed to have more tech/and a higher series (8 vs 7) hmm.gif

You forgot the fact that Samsung model equivalent of 7 series in UK/Asia is 8 series in US, and LG retained the series.

Anyways Series is just a marketing jargon.

In terms of Panel performance, KS7500 is quite a way ahead of the LG IPS Panel (the only thing LG is more superior is the viewing angle)

I also find out LG upscaller abit off for my taste, and color reproduction is abit more mild (perhaps due to the fact I'm using Samsung TV for the past 15 years bias also maybe)

Harvey Norman should have those still in display, just bring a thumb drive with clips of things you usually watch (you can even pair your smartphone to the TV to stream, that's what I did)

Remember to loan their remote and set their Picture Mode to movie first before doing it (frankly speaking you probably won't use Dynamic at all, which is usually the default for Show Units.)

KS7500 is a very nice TV from last year, however not everyone like the curved screen, I'm one of those. However, it doesn't mean that the LG is not good. Overall the features and technology behind the LG is more superior, Nanocell is as superior as the Qled and Dolby Vision is included. The WebOS is one of the best smart TV OS. It is a battle between VA and IPS panel, VA will win as picture quality is always related to native contrast and VA panel come with much higher contrast and it is easier to boost higher brightness without worrying too much about light bleed issue. This is required for HDR10 at 1000 nits brightness. Color from the KS7500 is attractive but it is actually a little over saturated, if you like more natural colors, it will be the LG. Between the 2 most peoples will take the Samsung, except those who don't like the curved screen.

Thanks guys, but regarding Dolby Vision - the LG's panel is only 10 bit, how does that jive with DVision's 12bit specs? Feels like it can't show DV media in its true glory...

Oh, btw anyone knows how the 2+3 or 2+2 warranty works? If there are no parts after 4 yrs, do we get a TV of the same value we paid when we bought it, or a depreciated value? I see 11street selling with warranty options, but no info on what the warranty covers...
