Well I got an offer of RM4950 from another nearby store (non 11 Street)

So i guess prices are currently lingering around there.

Though the seller did mention something about basically now it is stock clearance, after supplier run out of the stock you probably cant find it brand new anymore.

I kinda doubt it wont drop too much anymore. Maybe a couple more hundred.

The upcoming QLED series is going to cost a lot more than the KS series, wondering what price is the replacement going to cost.

Not Quantum LED but have HDR1000 and Connectbox just like KS7000. But color volume not as much as KS7000 due to lack of wide color gamut

Weird... You power it on and absolutely nothing shows up on the screen? As in completely blank? or problems with the video from a particular source?

Try this, unplug everything and leave for about a minute. Then only plug in the power cable and switch on. If issue persists, time to claim warranty.. If still under.

These are the RRP. Not sure what's the 'true' price will be when retailers start selling more units.

No way that the RRP is 50% more than the actual retail price right? The LG OLED C6 is RM12999 when launched, Samsung is LED TV but asking for the price of OLED TV, we all know the OLED has better image quality than the LCD but the difference might not be huge when comparing high end LCD vs OLED, still the samsung price is not justified

Not likely. Even KS7000 only dropped to RM5k from its RRP of RM7999.

Just noticed that Samsung website already listed the new QLED and MU series. In terms of specs, it seems that MU9000 (Curve) is equivalent to KS7500 (Curve) except for Quantum Dot Color. MU7000/8000 (Flat/Curve) is a step-down from MU9000 in terms of their "black" performance only (Precision Black vs. Ultra Black)

MU7000/8000/9000 seems to be good successors to the KU series, and capable of displaying HDR content accurately now with 1000-nit brightness and 10-bit panel. So probably 6-12 months when price dropped considerably and KS7000/7500 is no longer in production, then maybe it is a good consideration for 4K HDR TV. However, I kinda doubt Samsung will price this similar to the current KU6xxx series pricing...

So, conclusion is - grab KS7000 now for the good price, or wait longer for MU7000/8000/9000 to drop (but sacrifice some performance)

KS7000 seems to be a steal right now, 55inches going for around RM5000 but the stocks are running out fast and there are no other size available.

I pulled the trigger on KS7000 55 inch @ RM4950.

Even though I would prefer a 65 inch to replace my older 55 inch TV (4.5 years old, Samsung ES6220 LED 3D TV). However due to the 65 inch price almost double of the KS7000, and KS7000 superior panel, I crashed in the purchase haha.

So far everything is fine, 4k HDR is good for PS4 Pro, upscale for older 1080p and 720p stream video is reasonable, color and supremely good (I never though I would say Red is much more spot on haha)

Had some trouble with AnyNet+. Turns out to pinpoint the problem to HyppTV box alongside a faulty HDMI cable (if either HyppTV box connected direct to TV, or if i use that fault HDMI cable, it will auto kill off the whole network of HDMI-CEC/Anynet+ capability)

Although I kinda got hit by either electricity or static electricity through the stand while I was fiddling around the things on my cable, unsure if that metallic light stand very prone to static electric or there is some weird leakage on my TV set.

As a reference my unit that I bought was with a sticker stating March 2017 stock. Seeing that the MU series are coming in as per April 2017, I believe KS will be gone soon.

Told you samsung price is rediculous. Put it high high drop also fast fast. So i feel bad for people who buy it early. OLED 2017 series by lg is not cheap either starting usd3.5k 😂
