How do you find the tv so far?

The best bang for the buck TV out there. Got the 50 inch for RM 2,444. It was a really great deal with great visuals. Using it mainly for gaming and movies.

It's only Sony and Samsung for me. I bought a Samsung TV in 2011. Until now, It's is up and running without any encountered issues. that's how reliable Samsung is.

KU6000 model is a great mid range TV for 4k. With an entry level HDR and low response time makes it a great choice for both movies and videogames. If you've owned a 4k TV and would want to make an upgrade, KS7000 is good deal. The size of the TV depends on your preference. Of course, the bigger, the better smile.gif

If I were you, buy it! It was 2,800 a few days ago. I was also at Harvey Norman and it cost around RM 3k. Better grab it while you can.

can anyone recommend me a good TV that supports HDR, 50inch-55inch? budget around 5k

and also where can i find place to buy the TV? I thought UA49KS7000 is RM5.3k, then only saw the link for 11street only RM3.7k. very hard to search for TV and correct price sad.gif
*
11 street is legit. Just bought from them last Oct. fast delivery as well. If your budget is RM5k. Better get at least 55 or even 60 inch of KS7000 if it is still within that price range. Good luck!

There is always an LG and Sony that you can consider. Sony X8000D and LG UH8500 are other alternatives but it could probably cost more. I've only did my research on Samsung models tho as I've based my usage on gaming and movies. I can only guarantee you that KS7000 is a great model. The bigger the screen you can afford, the better smile.gif

KS8000 is actually the US model for KS7000 which is EU and Asia Pacific model. Both are just the same in terms of function and quality.

Check this out.

Great! My bad. It's a KS7500. smile.gif I'm surprised that it is actually cheaper than the non-curved, 55 inch model.

Anyone using the one with HDR function?

Practically speaking, how different was it compared to non-HDR?
*
The colors are way deeper and richer than non-HDR content. I believe youtube is now supporting videos in 4k HDR.

Hey guys, I'm looking to get a new TV for movies, Netflix and the occasional PS4.

After some light research, I have my eyes on a few Samsung TVs linked below.
Wanted to see if anyone here has first-hand experience with these models, for those who do, please feel free to share your two cents  smile.gif

Firstly, my requirements:
1) 49"~55"
2) Budget approx RM5k~ (I might consider buying a sound bar as well, what's a good TV for without proper speakers to compliment the image?)
3) Looking for a value 4K TV that will last
Samsung 55˝ 4K UA55KU6000

Samsung 55˝ UHD UA55KU6300

Samsung 55˝ 4K UA55KS7000

Samsung 49˝ 4K UA49KS7000

Well, firstly what's the difference between the KU6000 & KU6300? I saw reviews on rtings.com on the KU6300 and it's pretty solid for the price point.

Is the extra RM1,300~ worth spending for the KS7000? What I mean is, is the image quality and 'future-proofing' benefits worth the extra moolah?

Also, do you guys opt for the extended warranty on 11street? First time TV-purchaser here, lots to learn.
Thanks in advance!
*
These are good choices! I was also in a position where I have to choose between the two model. I ended up with the KU6000. Btw, KU6000 and 6300 is just the same in terms of features and quality. 6000 is an EU release while 63000 is US. As far as my research goes for both model, RM 1,300 didn't justify the 120hz refresh rate and the wider color gamut for HDR1000 that KS7000 offers. Both have HDR but KU6000 is only HDR10. I also preordered a PS4 Pro so I thought I would put money on it rather than the extra features. I saw both TVs side by side in a shop and it looks the same to be honest. Of course, TVs aren't calibrated when I saw it.

My advice is, if your budget permits, go for the better model smile.gif I had a TV for 5 years and it is still awesome smile.gif

Good Luck!

Sweet, how's the motion blurring on the 6000? I was in SenQ earlier and was watching football on the KU6400 they had on display, and the ball movement was quite odd to my eyes.

I watch quite a bit of sports on my TV so that's one concern I have.

Did you opt for the extended warranty?
Edit: There's a price difference of almost RM500 for the KU6000 & 6300, it's weird that it's the same in terms of features and quality when the price difference is that much.  hmm.gif
*
If you watch sports, I advise you to get the KS7000. It helps a lot cause its motion interpolation supports 60hz while KU6000 is only 30hz. You'll also take advantage of its 120hz refresh rate. The drawback that I have with the KU6000 model is its judder. 4k resolution with fast moving scenes produces lots of it. it's annoying. turning the judder reduction all the way to the right helps but you can still see it. Didn't extend the warranty. I didn't with my previous TV and I trust the brand itself. Hope my TV would last tho haha biggrin.gif

RM500 for KU6000 & 63000 is probably the shipping cost. 63000 is probably more expensive cause its manufactured in the US.

I actually felt bad when I sold it but was happy too cause someone bought it and was happy with his purchase. it's kinda ridiculous to spend too much money on technology nowadays.

Just to clarify, the KS7000 is the same as KS8000 mentioned on rtings.com yes?

http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/ks8000

Yep! It's the same. The naming convention is different for each countries. Not sure why but it is. I think it is mentioned in rtings.com about it.
