Initial thoughts on the H7000:

- Installing the stand proved a tad tricky for me as the thread of one of the nails was very poor for one of the brackets. What could this possibly indicate? Is this a display model?

- Boot up was a breeze, everything is automated. This is my first experience using a smart tv and the interface is interesting. The smart control is extremely well designed and the pointer works great (most times).

- Some concerns on the picture quality given my limited usage thus far. There are instances of flash lighting in virtually all corners of the screen during dark scenes. As I am coming from a plasma tv, this is new and worrying. Do retailers in this country exchange models based on this concern?

- The picture quality is great depending on the source. I have a few 1080p reference files which look absolutely outstanding in terms of colour, blacks and detail. If you have done any research on the AVS forums, there have been significant concerns in terms of black crushing - I need to spend more time with darker movies.

- I am still trying to dial into this telly and have found multiple calibration settings thus far. I am anticipating having different calibration settings for movies/sports/etc. Initial viewing of football was okay, not great. Also still need to figure this out.

- A bit annoyed that I have not been able to play any of my media stored on my NAS through NFS/SAMBA or other means. Right now, I am using PLEX (which works great) as an app on the tv. Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Anyone here facing the same problem as me?

I recently bought (end march) the Samsung TV model UA50HU7000. About a month back, the screen started to have some flickering effect after watching for approximately 30 minutes (and I tested all sources). I called Samsung and they sent a technician to my place and replaced the motherboard. The TV worked well after that.

Now, about 3 weeks later, the same problem re-occured. Anybody faced this problem before and what was the issue?

have bought 40" 5003 few months back for rm999. thought it was a great deal. can play with movie with usb pendrive. watching movies rip by anoxmous 1080p, picture was great to my view (considering that previously using a CRT tv and a 13" laptop).

but they past few weeks i discover,
1 - no audio out when i want to hook with a dvd player
2 - only knew about hevc even though already few years exist
3 - try hook with laptop to play hevc also cannot cos single core (or my setting is wrong?)

is android box the best option?
what i need is:
1 - play hevc file
2 - connect with 5.1 speaker
no stream needed cos home got no broadband

Jz got myself a 60” FHD Samsung TV UA60J6200 from courts for rm2749. Intention for me and my son to get better experience with my ps4. Sry for being kampung but my old tv only have two hdmi port which I find that is troublesome for me to keep switching hypp tv, pc and ps all the time, but this one is just great having so much hdmi port lol which got my problem solved.

I don't know much about TV, but just feel like upgrading my current 40 inch to a 60 inch led. As I plan with my family to make a mini home theater before CNY. My cousin told me that either Sharp or Samsung is currently offer better experience. Still struggling to pick one of these.

How do I get sound output from the TV if I play music/video from my pc?

hi guys. samsung led tv UA40H5008ARXXM after firmware update both of the hdmi port cannot output 1080p 60hz correctly. just bought for 2 month. anybody here knows how to fix this problem?

60mth installment for a TV is crazy.. 

tv is something you don't change frequently therefore GET a good one. If you willing spend on a good car and phone...shouldn't kiamsiap when come to living/TV
