Spurs didn't count coz they never win against big 4 since 1992...  cool2.gif

Since when City is a big club?

And Spurs won against Liverpool, City(not a big club), Arsenal and Chelsea on their own turf last season. So, if you're saying they never won at all, you need to check your facts mate.

Any teams, these days are capable of upsets. We need to approach one game at a time. That's all. Win, draw or lose are parts of football.

Is their away form.... i read it on the TV after they lost to us.... 120 away games. Never manage to win any single of it. Their Home Performance was never doubtingly great! But against us still have some miles to go... Ngek ngek ngek...

I know dude. But that guy is belittling Spurs and hailing City like there's no tomorrow. The reason is City is full of egomaniacs in them.

Hence, egomaniacs = powderful.

what a nerve-wrecking weekend for us.. at one point, we were seemed to be dropping points against a team which we were supposed to win, and then came the last minute rescue.. it must have been 'false hope' for some detractors... and Newcastle and Liverpool sprang a surprise.. haha..

what i dont understand is that some nincompoop who is not a regular football comes to live and giving assurance they will beat us.. haha.. Bandwagoners (in Boxy's term)!

good week.. lets hope the lads will silence our noisy neighbours... btw, Balotelli, he will be out for Derby clash rite?
*
Not sure. Shouldn't it take the effect 7 days after being carded? And there were rumors that City will appeal for him.

I just hope we could field our strongest XI. Yes, including Berbatov and Nani. Park could play on the left.

Anyway, I'll take 4 points out of 6 against City and Villa. Both of them are no pushovers.

Like they always say, form is out of the question when it comes to local derbies. And Villa Park isn't an easy place to go as well. Especially after last season.

the thing is, we've never seen Balotelli played before (well, maybe last night the only time la)
for all we know, he could be fast, he could be full of pace, or he could be a siput babi.

but one thing's for sure, if Tevez returns, it'll be a one-man team. here's hoping that Johnson doesn't show up in the 1st eleven.
*
Adam Johnson played yesterday. If he's playing again this Wednesday, we need to be extra careful. I reckon that Brown and Rafael would do the job.

From the MOTD, Balotelli is like your typical CF.

Silva is an another player to be watched. He has been making things happening for them. If our midfielders could contain theirs, game could be ours.

I really really hope that SAF was playing mind games earlier yet seeing the old man himself coughing and sneezing on the sidelines cause worries. We're trying to build a momentum here. An another setback could cause us a long time recovery.

@myhug
It's just a joke to Sheep. Coincidence lah that all of the players he mentioned got subbed and didn't score.

On Hargreaves, hamstring. 2-4 weeks out. Typical injury when you're out for a long time. As Wan has mentioned, as long as it isn't his knee, we should have him back soon. That being said, he should follow Giggsy's way by learning yoga.

Bale is quality but still need to be developed. He is much like our own version of LM Valencia. I dont think he can dribble. He has decent finishing in him though. He's a gem. Definitely has that potential to be a world class player.

Added on November 9, 2010, 3:10 pmThat being said, it is normal for Brits to hype up their players as usual.

Show me video of him doing a Nani or Ronaldo please. Then, I'll take back my words.

All I know, he relies on his pace to beat people. That's pretty much like our Valencia rite?

there you go, combination of some dribbles but with more running..He can definitely dribble, but if he can beat the defender with raw pace then why not use it instead of doing fancy stuff rather than just to humiliate the defender..if you want more just go to youtube and search for videos during his time at Southampton
*
Thanks for the video.

But I still stood by my claims earlier. He is not a dribbler. Make no mistake, I am not belittling Bale. He is talented. A potential to be a world beater. But he is not a dribbler.

And you're talking about pace, Nani has it too. So does Ronaldo and Messi. But at times you could see they use their footwork in order to beat oppositions.

Try to take a look videos on Ronaldinho and Robinho. Or Falcao - one wicked dribbler.

the point most people agree is bale doesnt use his dribbling skill as his primary play, but rather the ala-Giggs style. But if u are comparing say, Crouch and Bale, then i would agree as well that Bale will be a better dribbler.

It is the same as discussing whether Rooney can defend or not. Sure he can, he can tackle. But that doesnt make him a defender does it? Thats because his primary skill is to attack, and therefore is considered as a Forward.
*
Giggsy is a dribbler. Don't be fooled by that infamous run in 99. While Rooney is not a dribbler but he has vision and wicked long passes in him. I've always thought that he could replace Scholesy someday. These days, I'm not so sure.

I agree with him not being those fancy dribblers like CR7..I've already said tonnes of times that he uses raw pace more than dribbling..But when claims of him CANT dribble surfaces, that's just plain ignorance IMO
*
So, can Valencia dribble then?

Added on November 9, 2010, 5:53 pm
QUOTE(SGSuser @ Nov 9 2010, 05:50 PM)
Maybe like that lor lol...But if people say players like Becks or Pirlo cant dribble I faham la...Even Walcott who is known for beating defenders with ~100% pace, if say he cant dribble also I faham to certain extent...But Bale ah, because this year he become famous for his goals/assists where he beat defenders mostly using his pace and agility, then people start forget the little things he did on the pitch..
*
No one is belittling Bale. As I've said, he's a good crosser and has that potential to be a world beater. He has done wonders for Spurs, no doubt. But make no mistake that he is not a fancy dribbler. That should be the right term then. He doesn't possess fancy skills or footworks.

you do know you are just reiterating what I said right? that's basically what I said

regarding whether he has fancy skills or not, still wait to be seen, I dont dare to say he doesnt have it  biggrin.gif

and yes Valencia can dribble

jangan confuse dribbling with skills/stepovers, that's an important point
*
Well, again it depends on how you interpret dribble itself. I've always think dribble = fancy footwork. But for you, it's running with the ball considered as dribble already.

And as for Bale's skills. I don't know. If a natural fancy dribbler, he would/will use it any point. You've seen it with Ronaldo, Nani and even Giggsy. On what point should he hide it? It's his weapon after all. Even under strict restrictions of a manager, players will tend to use their best weapons.

So, I still stood by my point. He can't dribble. laugh.gif

Phailed.

Dribbling is "to advance a ball or puck by bouncing it or giving it a series of short kicks or pushes. "
