Yups.. n8 is not really stable yet.. it happen when i make a phone call and talk about 1hour.. and it dead..~ So sad...

The solution already add at fp but it doesn't work on me.. i will try again & again until it revive.. but if cannot, i think tomorrow i will send to NCC..~ (that the last option that i have... and i hope i can avoid sending this n8 to NCC because it take time and many procedure (as i understand from andy) ... ~.~" )

last night 1 user phone prompting him.. "phone not able to start, pls contact........"... in page 88...

What problems are you both having? I am currently having a Dead n8 , waiting for the NCC's call and then send it in , wait for another week or 2 ... Wtf!?

dont have any problem so far but need to ready umbrella before rain. coz last time my N8 suddenly cant turn on after charging, but luckily after several times trying, she wake up.

i think ur N8 is not connected with Internet.. that error message will came out if there is no Internet connection..~

Tried everything , nothing works. But i noticed when i insert USB , it will have the *Insert sound* and then *Disconnected sound*

And do note that , normal turn on phone and 8 sec holding on power button has the sound too.

mine... the connect and disconnect sound can be notice.. but 8sec sound is not there.. ~ huhu

just wanna share my collections btw guys, does your N8 "makan" batt? Mine is draining the batt life so fast! there's no open apps also

They said no parts so i didn't send it in.

Mine both normal on and 8 sec could be heard with a sound thru USB.

are your widgets online? i suppose those will drain quite a lot since they would be online every once in a while to fetch data...also, turn off wifi, bluetooth when not using, those can be some battery drainer also

i'm not sure this will help or not... (if it's the display kong)

1. UNLOCK the phone by sliding the unlock button (treat the phone as it's still alive an ON only that no display)

2. Once unlock, direct long press the power button (same as force shutdown)

3. Repeat like the FP step for dead N8 (plug in charger for 15 mins, plug in USB for 15 mins, then try to power up again)

4. Repeat whatever you can think of...

All these are try and error method...
