When living with in law and etc, everyone will have their own version of taking care of the baby.

This is where the man role come into play. The man has to make a stand on what is to be done and not. Like my colleague, he make a stand and fight his parents and in law against all traditional / cultural practise and changed it to modern ones he learnt from the same ante-natal class we visited.

This is based on my own experience so I'm here to share. If you drink milk powder like Anmum and then pump, you will get more. If I dont drink, I only get like 1 Oz but if I drink, I get up to 4 Oz in the morning. This proven to work for me for a few occassion now.

To store breastmilk,
room temperature can keep 2 - 4 hours only.
fridge is 1 day but my confinement lady said 3 days max
freezer is 3 months

Now, I am looking for a silent pump to pump breastmilk in the office ladies room. No electrical socket so cannot use electrical pump and I dont want my whole office to know I'm pumping. Any recommendations?

How do you increase the volume of your milk? My friend came to visit and she delivered 2 weeks earlier than I did. Her baby is fully breast milk while mine is a mix of breast milk + formula. Envious!

Besides consuming more water and carbohydrate, what else to take? Does Anmum milk help? Cause I still dont really take plain water. Mostly is confinement herb water / soup.

I scared got more water retention as I'm c-sec. I didnt eat all the good stuff until 2 weeks later.
Some people said pump regularly helps. How often do you do it?

The baby can drink water, it probably wont cause wind. I think it's the mother that drink lesser water. Well, that's what practiced in my family anyway.

I am wondering between breastfeeding direct to baby and pump. Will the volume be the same? I pump about 4oz for morning and 4oz at night. I dont think this is enough for baby hence supplement with formula. My colleague who visit told me that if baby suck, the volume will be more than pump. My colleague breast feed her baby up to 2 years old for 3 kids!!!

By the way, if you leave the breast milk in the bottle in room temperature, can keep how long? If leave in fridge, how long? Freezer, how long?

I'm back at work for the first day and noticed that my milk has reduce substantially. Our baby dont live with us, he live with my mom and we only see him on Tues and Thurs and bring back home on Fri - Sun.
