ive just delivered my 2nd baby a month ago, now bf-ing well. i bf him every 2 hours, i dont wake him up, but he's like an alarm clock - will cry every 2 hours haha. my best friend guides me a lot on bf - i dont think i can bf well w/o her. support & guide is really important!!
bt now my milk dont produce much, even though constant stimulation. maybe because of my food intake. but its ok, i plan to bf during my 2-months maternity leave only or until i run out of milk, then rely on formula.
one thing that drove me to ENSURE i bf well this round is - during my 1st child delivery, bf hurt me. my nipple cracked & bleed, and i was scared of my baby! i got stingy to give him my milk coz it hurt so much [i think it was my technique + late apply nipple cream] - AND MY MILK ENDED UP STUCK INSIDE!! it turned to pus and i had to have it surgically removed! it was horrible - nightmare!!
it was stuck near my nipple too - very tender area - and the wound is open - coz they had to monitor the growth back. no stitching after that ok!! horrible. they had to sumbat with gauze all the time, and i went to clinic everyday to cuci - sakit gila! imagine washing an open wound without bius, tender area some more. felk like kicking the nurse sometimes.
during those times, i prayed that id be the last person on earth to experience it. it was plain horrible.
so let the milk flow, dont be like me! pump it out, whatever! dont let it stuck!

i wore socks all the time - didnt dare to take them off coz afraid of 'bentan' - like cold shock attacks and can cause you to bleed like crazy [sometimes can be fatal, oldies say, but im not sure]
i didnt believe until i had it myself! had the cold shock 3 times during my first 2 weeks. wrapped myself in 2 comforters also not enough, husband & mom so panicked, then husband hugged me like crazy - trying to tighten the comforters around me - i was literally shaking! it was so damn cold and it came on so fast & sharp - like out of nowhere! i was OK after 10 minutes. luckily no extraordinary bleeding!
i hated the sweaters too, only wore it when its really cold at night

yes it can attack u after delivery - maybe because our body is weak. also had 1 attack during my first confinement. 3 times during my 2nd.
keep the socks on in the morning, at night n during rain. when its hot like at noon, i also took them off sometimes
and for malays we have to cover our ibu jari kaki during confinement esp at night coz oldies say the devils like them. my mum kena twice and it was scary!! would not wanna scare u all so i wouldnt tell details here unless u want me to??

im breastfeeding now..i know its empty when its erm, soft.
i bf one breast per session, and i let him suck until he stops on his own. sleep or pull away. they say baby will do it automatically when they have enough. seems so with me, but not sure whether every babe same or not.

same case with my baby during his first month. he would cry when i put him down. pacifier also didnt want.
then my mum put him in buai [i didnt approve of buai as dont want to make it a habit] and turned out to be the solution!
