My baby is so special.. she doesn't need frequent feeding, she can sleep for 5-6 hours without crying for milk.this made us so wry ...n she only drink a little bit for each feeding...
now she still on FM cuz my milk hvnt come, but i started to notice whitish sticky liquid from my nipple although is just 1 drop. Already asked my husband to get a manual pump for me to pump out n bottle feed her cuz she very lazy on sucking... even bottle feed v need to spend almost an hour to feed her n she only takes in a bit...
its all supply and demand my dear. now she still on FM cuz my milk hvnt come, but i started to notice whitish sticky liquid from my nipple although is just 1 drop. this is what I would do, I normally wake my baby up in two hours time (the most) and then place him/her on my chest or by the bed, and have my nipple on his mouth. Slowly, i would massage (actually my hubby was at great assist here) so that the drop can be felt by the infant, and slowly the baby would start to suck, its natural.
As for those who are worried, no supply, be patient, as I mentioned earlier, its demand and supply, so ensure you ahve your kiddo by your side to suck it, else for some mom, its very difficult to start producing the wanted amount.
Infact, my first kid, she is ten now, didnt have any drink till the 3rd day, she was just lazy and sleepy. But my hubby insist not to give powder milk and be patient, it just worked out great and I was so worried and angry over my hubby, but end of the day, I'm happy with his decision.
