What is the concern on the poop in relation with EBM?
*
She's too obsessed of wanting her daughter to poop often eventhough once every 5-7days for some young infants is perfectly normal. So worried until wanna go see paediatric surgeon.

Actually if a mother fully knows the nutrition content of breastmilk, one will do whatever it takes to keep on feeding it as long as one can.

Every 3-4 days since she was born. Once went to 6 days. But when she poops, always megapoops smile.gif She was 7.75kg at 5months. Thriving!

@nicKit
Busy a bit since I'm leaving my office in 2 weeks time biggrin.gif Going solid in 3 weeks time. Ahhh.. I'm gonna miss baby fully depending on me for nutrients sad.gif

I'm always here to attend post reports and stuff but no time to read and reply la. I'll be around a lot more often in 2 weeks' time brows.gif

QUOTE(sbux @ Mar 4 2011, 02:09 PM)
Thanks for all the words of encouragement and support. I will of course continue to bf my baby for as long as I can.

my first target is 3 months. Another 10 more days will hit 3 months target.
*
Congratulations. Sorry if I sounded harsh smile.gif

QUOTE(WhiteMouse @ Mar 4 2011, 05:05 PM)
yay! past today then i am Breastfeeding My baby for 3 months!! my next target 6 months!! wuhooo..

altho it's a winding road but i manage it well~ going to start work next week, then need to pump often~ but good things is, i still able to direct feed baby during lunch as it's very near~ hehe
*
Actually in my personal opinion better to train baby to balance out between bottle and nipple. There is this one kid in my daughter's nursery who doesnt want bottle at all after taking 1 week break from nursery - so the mother has to drop by every 4 hours to breastfeed rclxub.gif

syd, wow~! WAHM... finally i found someone who work at home... y the decision? taking break? buat apa kerja kat rumah? can recommend? whistling.gif

Because I cant work with a startup/small comp with crazy paced schedules eventhough the money is good. These few months I already took a lot of leaves to take care of my daughter when she wasnt allowed to go to nursery - red eye, fever etc sad.gif So I decided that it's in our best interest to part ways eventhough I love what I do in the company.

Since I cant just sit down at home, I'll be going to classes to keep my mind sharp and to change my career in near future biggrin.gif

I'll be doing website maintenance / creation. Specializing in e-commerce sites, help the small SMEs maintain their fb pages etc. I'll be earning less than 25% the salary I'm earning now but I know we'll be fine smile.gif

nicKit,
Your MIL and hubby is lucky that you're patient. I'd start a world war if my mom / MIL did that to my kid tongue.gif

-

Here's a lil update on my side :

My baby will turn 6 months old this coming Monday. If I die today she'll have enough milk in freezer to survive solely on ebm till then, so I'm very very happy.

Have not pump in 24 hours and its so painful. Sigh... U know when we have not enough and we are so determine and work so hard for supply to built up. Then when I have to stop, I complain and complain to hubby that I still have so much....
*

I dont know which one is more painful.

The first few days of breastfeeding.

Or baby teething - and using the nipple as chew toy sad.gif

I think you're doing a great job in spreading awareness smile.gif

I'm done with feeding baby solely on breastmilk. Had finally introduced pureed sweet potato + ebm to baby. To date she ate chicken, fish, mashed potato (from Popeye's biggrin.gif) and her poop smelled awful sad.gif

Hey guys,

I have an interesting dilemma. Dear daughter is turning one soon and she's getting more attached everyday. Now she nurses to sleep for an hour, sometimes till I get really sore. Now, I don't have any intention of weaning her but sometimes I get frustrated and dehydrated.

Probably because puasa month, I haven't been drinking enough so she couldn't get the amount of milk needed? On daily basis I only manage to pump 10oz - 12oz a day, previously I could pump almost double that.

Aih.

im taking low fat milk 1 glass daily.. does it affect bm?
*
bm contains a lot of cholesterol and fat that're important for baby's brain development.

prolly switch to fresh milk instead for a week?

i've had success with it smile.gif
