Poo is black and a bit greenish, very dark green kind. Nurse told me to feed fm coz lo face yellowish and his bilirubin is 10.5, which is quite near to jaundice I think. So nurse say he need to pee and poo more. Tomorrow gonna go check his bilirubin level again. I can feel my breast a bit engorge d, might be milk coming in. I will continue latching my lo, see how tomorrow.

Why my lo still wanna latch on even after I've fed him with ebm? Does it mean he still hungry? Ebm is 2oz. Lo is 1 week old.

Wanna ask if a nursing bra n nursing shirt is necessary? I find myself exposing every now n then when bf...

For me, it is a Yes for nursing bra. Easy access to bf and to give a better support to my breasts. I didn't buy any nursing shirt, just use the shirt with front buttons.

need some advice, if ur LO is having blocked nose or having mucous resulting in shortness of breath during breastfeeding, is there any home remedy we can do try out or do we need to get the nasal spray for babies?

sucking i can suck, but the question is how to suck, i really scared i suck more than what i need to suck oni!!!

Suck fast but not with too much force. Too slow the mucus wont come out.

Very easy, i sucked before.... suck one hole at one time, if too hard u will get the mucus in ur mouth.

Maybe u can buy those tools tat is used to suck mucus? I tried to use it before, but our mouth is more effective... but my husband is quite good at using it.

This is the 3rd day and my wife couldn't properly feed my newborn baby. Looks like he is sucking but doesn't look full. Try using pump but not a single drop. How how? Nipplr also painful and sore dy. we know wrong position but sometime very hard positioning.

Milk not so fast kick in...how bout buy a breast shield? Heard got size, choose carefully ya...so it can help to protect the nipple while ur wife try to adjust the position

my wife 1st few days nothing, and after the 1st week only a few drops, now around the 3rd week only can get around 1oz, do be patient yeah
for now, buy the nipple cream to treat the sore and if there is a need, do consult ur lactation consultant

Very stressful! After bf him for more than 45 min with milk but he is still crying out loud. I am afraid that we used to top up FM and now he keeps wanting more. How do we really know of baby have enough with just bf? I dun wan him to get used to FM!

How how? What should I do? He seems doesnt want to suck from bf and wanting bottle with FM. Still didnt manage to pump out milk as there is only a few drop.

Baby crying doesnt mean hungry lah.. most of the times he just want to suck, eventhough nothing coming out.

Sucking is a source of comfort.

But he dun want to suck eventhough giving him breast. And if give empty bottle he will suck but will stop in bout 5 sec and cry cry cry

How bout Pacifier? Is the nipple inverted n short? Suck from bottle is much easier den suck from breast, so they will prefer the easier way...

Or maybe u can try to get donated bm? Still better den fm if u dun mind..

Hmmm... Does your wife hold your infant enough? E.g babywear him everywhere? Sleep with him naked? Maybe co-sleep for a while? High need babies need that "mama smell" to feel comfortable.
