really?? i will try to pump 3 times today n c how it goes, hope the production would not be lesser bcoz i increase the pumping action or latch on
*
actually i'd suggest latching on as many times as possible when you're still on maternity leave smile.gif

your baby's tummy now is very small... dont be influenced by the sight of people feeding 5oz one shot to small babies, its easy to overfeed on formulas.

Two months is better than two days wink.gif

But the most important thing here is awareness. For the next baby try for at least 6 months ya.

anybody can teach me how to supply more breast milk ?
i found out that my breast milk getting less and less sad.gif

Top tip for more breast milk - dont think about losing weight just yet - just eat a lot and drink a lot!! biggrin.gif

You'll lose weight a lot faster when you breastfeed more brows.gif

i won't give up ^^ hehe~
is pumping milk out also can slim ma ?
*
Yeap but I'd say that the stimulation factor is less. Babies somehow empty the breasts better than pumps smile.gif

QUOTE(Kasumie @ Apr 9 2012, 04:46 PM)
I pumped for the first time this morning. Manage to get total 2oz . Then after about 4hours,I pumped again seems less and tend to bleed as well. Once I see a drop of blood,I stop pumping. This happen on both sides. From this session i got total 1.5 oz. Why is it bleeding? Is it because of no more milk then keep pumping will come out blood? Should I continue to pump after like 3 to 4hrs later? Or take a rest n try again  tomorrow?
*
OMG 2oz for a newborn is awesome!!! My first pumping session was only 0.5oz kua.. Good for you!! Congratulations rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Dont pump till blood come out. Rest and try again after it's not so painful. Cause dowan to kena infection else susah mau manage smile.gif First week there wont be much milk but after about 5-7 days, you'll get good supply.

Good job, mommy biggrin.gif

I'm not sure what really contribute to my wife milk production, but she take Anmum lacta for initial 1st month. Hence, she able to produce abt 13oz at once. She normally pump abt 5times per day. The minimum I see is abt 6-7oz @ once. I had bought more than 50 bottles also not enough, now buy some storage bags too.
*
Congratulations to your wife!!!

Storage bags are better. I have about 50 bottles at home now, mostly empty since my baby is 18 months old and I dont pump as often as before... but I still long for another baby because I miss being a cow biggrin.gif

Hi,

At my bb 1st month,  I bf and mix formula. Then 2nd month my milk getting less and stop. Now my bb already 5months, i feel like revive the bf,  is that possible to get the bf milk again?
*
It's possible but it's going to be harder than new mommies. You can talk to your gynae about this and ask if you need help by using pharmaceuticals. But you need to direct latch more often than not smile.gif

QUOTE(Kasumie @ Apr 15 2012, 08:55 AM)
How would the baby poo poo to be like if I fed him on formula n ebm.? He is just 10 days old . Yday poo is like curry colour,is not solid but in liquid form and it is kinda sticky . Is that normal?

Hi Cath smile.gif

Your breastmilk wont increase if water is inadequate. Make sure that you've done your best to drink a lot, always direct feed whenever needed then only go for fenugreek.

A lot of mothers fail to bf not due to lack of money or knowledge, most of the time it's lack of support. Probably post more often here so that we can send you virtual hugs and support? biggrin.gif

*hugssss*

Btw I think Kit started the thread when my daughter was about 1 month old.. she's now almost 2 and still formula-free. Time flies biggrin.gif

Cath,
My confinement was 2 months of almost pure hell. I'd rather be pregnant many2 times than to go through confinements again brows.gif.

Malaysians are pretty kancheong lah.. every medicine got side effect (if 0.01% chance also must put) but if she tells everything then nobody would consume medicine tongue.gif

Btw even water also got side effects, that doesnt mean we should not be drinking water right brows.gif

Thanks to a few forumers here like Syd G and Jilliam who suggested breastcrawling or breastcrawl, I did it and was able to BF my LO for longer than I expected.

New mommies can try it straight after labour. It's really a precious moment smile.gif
*
Awwww. It's just amazing isnt it smile.gif

I didnt get to do it with my first.. they wrapped her and I only get to bf her after 30 mins sad.gif

She's not naked and is wrapped tightly with lampin. biggrin.gif
But my sis told me cannot and I also stop feeding her in air cond room, so I want to confirm this. smile.gif
*
I'm not so sure where she's coming from but it's more comfy to nurse in cold room as breastfeeding can make both mommy and baby sweat a lot.

Newborns can be fussy for a many reasons - too hot, too old, too noisy, too quiet, too bright and the list goes on... they dont know how to handle the world so they do what they do best - cry biggrin.gif

Tats y i wanna start to boost milk supply as early as possible... so tat can show her i got enough supply..

By the way, maybe u can try milk spa for ur toddler, since u got extra n she doesn't take it: )
*
So sayang to do milk spa sad.gif

I prefer to donate. But then it's more feasible to donate to babies about the same age. Most toddlers dont drink ebm anymore.. how how ..aih
