Tried gpu client on my 8500gt but it crashed.
Hopefully my Pentium D 4ghz still can make up to it.
Usually my pc is switched on 24/7 so hopefully something good would come out of this.

QUOTE(saturn85 @ Dec 29 2010, 01:25 AM) haha, welcome. Crash, yeah. It seems like it. I monitor using gpu-z, ram utilised to the max. My gc too weak? wow, a 4GHz pentium D, monitor the temperature as well when folding. as i know pentium D quite hot. and maybe you can try high performance client like smp client on the pentium D, see whether it can finish the work unit before deadline or not, since you switch on 24/7. about the gpu client crash on 8500GT, did the crash happen when you open the viewer? QUOTE(Diademz @ Dec 29 2010, 12:04 PM) Welcome to F@M everyone! Will look to it. Would be more straining on the processor? Sounds good! Since your PC is overclocked and running 24/7, you may want to try the SMP client as pointed out by bro saturn85. Welcome to the team! Do share your PC specs so we can help you optimise it! |
