you can fold with cpu as well.

Did not notice the icon. Anyway, I have shared with my friends. I think every now and then I'll put a reminder up and hopefully everyone would participate. Equally, I hope TS would also update everyone from time to time, otherwise I think we would forget or loose interest.

Just installed folding@home basic CPU Uniprocessor client for my pc.

Tried gpu client on my 8500gt but it crashed.

Hopefully my Pentium D 4ghz still can make up to it.

Usually my pc is switched on 24/7 so hopefully something good would come out of this.

wow, a 4GHz pentium D, monitor the temperature as well when folding.
as i know pentium D quite hot.

and maybe you can try high performance client like smp client on the pentium D,
see whether it can finish the work unit before deadline or not, since you switch on 24/7.

about the gpu client crash on 8500GT,
did the crash happen when you open the viewer?

Crash, yeah. It seems like it. I monitor using gpu-z, ram utilised to the max. My gc too weak?

Will look to it. Would be more straining on the processor?

the viewer is unstable.
i have same thing happpened on my 8400GS,
bsod when open the viewer.

actually 8500GT consider weak in folding.
but as long as it meet the deadline, it is still ok.

which F@H program you install?? Gpu or cpu client..

i try use on cpu.
