After ur post i also go find MTN and got
We suggest that the medium-term note market provides an excellent laboratory for exploring the relationships between yield, liquidity, and the label affixed to a financial instrument. Crabbe and Turner (1995) examined the liquidity issue and uncovered the counter-intuitive result that issue size is unrelated to liquidity. Their study failed to examine a potential channel for a liquidity effect, however, in the form of multiple issues from a single, typically large, MTN registration filing. We find evidence that file size is significantly related to yield in a number of instances. Several other proxies for liquidity, such as frequency of issue, are also sometimes significantly related to yields. Contrary to Crabbe and Turner (1995), we find that labeling a security an MTN can have an impact on its yield. The label “note” also appears to matter for yield in some instances.

Which leads me to  rclxub.gif

After reading this OK liau

The MTN 1B by BSTEAD is just to meet their funding needs from the debt market moving forward. It should not affect the fundamentals of the company. Only gearing goes up upon drawdown of the facility.

Infact should be good news as the facility can be used for acquisitions....

Just my thought

but previously MEGB fall because of there is rumors about PTPTN doesnt recognize and doesnt loan money to them. But PTPTN already publish there is no such thing. But now it still falling~......the quality of education is the most important, and the shoplot campus really.... doh.gif
*
Hmmm as far as i know they are new but their track record from few hundred students at inception to 17k before IPO is a commendable growth. It commands a huge market share. About shoplot college: even Sime Darby medical college in shah alam is some what shop lot college. Their new campus are pretty descent and moving away from shoplot buildings.

Is the fall of share price due to lack of trust on management? If this is the case their results announcement if it is positive should improve things and likely increase the share price. If their current quarter is disappointing, i will likely sell as it is probably huge con job forecast during listing!

I have faith in healthcare related business as there is huge demand from top to bottom in this industry. Limited seats in public uni's in healthcare related courses would allow such colleges to blossom and grow provided "quality", "accredition" and "funding" is provided.

Anyways, just disappointed with recent IPO's by big boy CIMB. First JCY now MEGB: I don't see upside, all sold fully valued or at a premium. Looks like I may have just been too optimistic

Besides the high margins , the other thing is the market cap. I remember was like 1.3B when its at Rm3.30. Wife ask worth so much ? Don't know, no positions lio .

Added on November 3, 2010, 6:17 pm
I would not comment on their margins for megb as question is what is their cost? It is pretty low since its human capital intensive business.

Anyways RM1.3bn....its all about valuation....promised by IB's and insti's who supported such valuation...I hope they come in to support the price now.
