Bonus issue is like changing one RM 10 note to two RM 5 note.

Dun know why people see BONUS then so happy and start goreng it.

bonus issue 1 of 5

means if i got 5 lots, i get 1 lot free...
if current price is rm1, after adjustment will be 5/6*rm1 = rm0.83...

i think because of few reasons:
1. like u said, BONUS sounds attractive
2. price lower, make people feel that the price got more room to grow after a while, people look at the price and think last time at RM1, good fundamental and now rm0.5, alot room to grow ! they didnt realize that is because of split/bonus
3.The share become more penny and easy to make up fake volume by those pakar goreng

On top of that, since the share price is lower, the moving step becomes more aggressive(higher risk). Look at the top gainers/losers %, mostly are penny stocks.

Typical red thursday...

ya, rise 10 cent might be 50% already but vice versa when it drop 10 cent
