If you feel a huge amount of vibrations through the chasis coming from the engine compartment, then yes chances are the mountings are out. Usually, this happens when accelerating or even at idle. Engine mounting is to dampen the vibrations of the engine, so that it doesn't vibrate through the car's chasis.

Yeap should be about the same, maybe original has a slight edge over locally produced OEM ones.

No its not original Proton / Perodua or their respective manufacturers.
This are locally produced OEM mountings, which means that they are exactly like your original mountings. Fittings, specifications etc.

The local mounts for Altis older gen is rm280.but I would recommend that you purchase the original Toyota mounting which is Rm650 for the complete set. FR RR LH and RH.

Yes L2 uses Kancil engine mounting however I can't confirm that all L2 transplanted uses it.

Hmm, sounds more like a lower arm problem to me. If is driveshaft usually is "tak tak tak" sound.
As for lower arm, the symptom is like what you've described. But best to have it checked by your local mechanics.

I'm starting to feel that the so called mitsubishi mounts are starting to wear out.
The feel wasn't as good as it was when new. Can feel the difference when engaging N to D. This is only 5 months now..

Just to ask here, how to check whether the mounting is still okay or not?
When i change my gear from N to R, the car will start rattling a bit but will be okay when i put it back to N or D.
Does this mean that my mounting started to crack?
Please advice.
How much for Vios 2006 full set mounting?

My Wira SE at idle vibrates like mad. The seats, steering wheel and keys will vibratre. Engine mounting going out? The car is 7 years old.

My savvy got some noisy sound from bottom left passenger side, "Kruk" & "Rat" sound when pass un flat road, hump, not everytime but often. Sometime even at highway, i release the oil pedal it also hv the same noisy sound from same place, when i press back pedal, sound gone ........ Ask foreman check, they said all ok. But i found info frm site, look like lower arm they also check but said the bush all no crack ........ Is it really lower arm problem ? |

installed the MYVI mounting at lastweek, solved the shaking and noise of engine/dashboard shaking at 90%.
so far so good, like a new car drove like a boss now ^^
