guys, i have a q. when you play a fast double-pedal beat, do you lift your whole foot or just the front part? which is smoother and which is more tiring? thanks!

i always get cramps on my calf. but then again, i'm not a proper drummer i find it hard to play with my toes. i have to apply pressure with my whole foot. that's why i'm tired i guess.

sort of, but i was thinking more of songs with longer double pedal parts, like death metal songs.
