Needless to say that the Google Nexus One will live on in memory as one of the most profound Android handsets to hit the market, but when asked about a potential successor, Google's very own Eric Schmidt noted that there were no plans for a second Google branded device.

However, some rather interesting pieces of news surfaced recently regarding a potential Google Nexus Two handset. This time is comes from British business paper City A.M. which sites that a Gingerbread on board Google Nexus Two will be ready in time for a launch this upcoming holiday season. However, it looks as though it'll be available in the UK with exclusivity going to popular retailer Carphone Warehouse. It's not certain from the report whether or not other regions around the world would see this mythical device, but the unnamed source goes on to say that it won't be manufactured by Samsung.

But when you think about the relationship that Carphone Warehouse has with Best Buy Mobile in the US, it's striking to say that Google has some prominent partners at hand if they were to indeed launch this device in time for the holidays.

i'm kinda disappointed. I think the rumor is for US where their galaxy has no front camera.

Thought of changing my N1 to N2 but now no more. don like the appearance of the nexus S. T_T

but to keep it in low weight,plastic built is the good choice unless they change it to carbon fibre

If just a rebranded Galaxy S with that glossy plastic, sad. I much prefer HTC's build quality (except the screens).

Low weight is good, but I really hate the fingerprints the glossy plastic attracts.

They should choose the Teflon plastic used in the white HTC Hero. Keeps the phone light, and prevents smudges and fingerprints.

Exactly! The DHD has such a nice big screen, but doesn't look as good as the SGS's Super AMOLED. Anyway everybody knows that HTC is choosing SLCD not because SLCD is superior, but because Samsung is restricting the supply of AMOLED screens.

If I was Google, I'd build my own factories and produce a phone
- With the aluminum unibody of Legend
- Shape of iPhone 4
- Super AMOLED screen
- Stock Gingerbread

Yeah I love my HTC Hero. Too bad the processor is already quite outdated.
But recently got rumour of HTC Mecha that may use Hero's build form but with better specs.

google choose samsung coz of their awesome hardware ? why not asking htc to develop software for them, HTC + GOOGLE  + SAMSUNG  = winner

Haha yeah, just the shape. Nice and simple. But don't use glass, use the aluminium build of Legend.

But I much prefer the glass on iPhone 4 to the super-fingerprint magnet on the 3GS and iPod Touch.  I think most 3GS/Touch owners get a casing is because of the fingerprint issue. Can't be to make it look better, because bumpers make iPhones look ridiculous.

Currently they're using HTC Hero's image as placeholder for HTC Mecha, that's why people assume it's going to be like Hero. But nobody knows for sure. 

the thing that likely missing is notification led,trackball,solid build and no physical button if it is made by Samsung

why still put SuperAMOLED... should go for Super Clear LCD...

is a trade off..u want thin and light then use the plastic

I prefer Super Clear LCD any time...  much more accurate in term of colour reproduction

As I said, I just use a pouch when I'm carrying and it's not in use.
Not like I work in construction or warzone and drop it everyday and need some hard case.

in my opinion, the case only changes the back part of the phone. in front it's about the same

It took me very long time to find this, can say i ask around in LYN garage sales but no1 is selling. so i went to ebay and bought it from a seller from UK...
mana tau the seller use normal post to send, it took 2 weeks to reach my house...
if u wanna buy better black matte wan coz although the silver wan looks nice, but it will become very oily at the back... hehe..

but engadget  got the device d. LOL so that means it is indeed coming?
