wow..didnt u all think that the rate is quite expensive??
*
for me it is on par with other providers.
comparison to digi, you paid almost the same price for 3GB.
after reach 3GB, your speed will be reduced to 128kbps
what can you do and how many GB can u use until the bill recycled with that speed?
trust me when digi throttled the speed to 128kbps, you wish you can pay extra to enjoy normal speed.
you can only browse mobile optimized websites with the speed. laugh.gif

furthermore with digi, you'd never enjoy speed more than 2mbps, when everything's working fine average speed for digi is around 1mbps only.

i'm not saying YES service is tip top at the moment, i don't think their network is stable yet.
sometimes it's fast and sometimes not so fast(but still more than 1mbps) regardless of signal strength.
so far i use YES at 3 different locations with different signal strength and the fastest i could get is 3mbps++, but it never dip below 1mbps.

Let's do a simple calculation, shall we...

3Mb = RM0.09
30Mb = RM0.90
300Mb = RM9.00
3Gb = RM90.00
30Gb = RM900.00  <-------- Nice price!

Way to go, YTL!!

1st world infrastructure ..... THIRD world mentality.

Now if only I can subscribe to StarHub to get that 100mbps speed.

If you want a fast Internet for gaming and surfing the Internet, Yes 4G does the job. If you're someone that likes to download and torrent, please go for Streamyx. No one is asking you to compare 30GB of data and for a normal Internet user, 3GB a month is more than enough!
*
i agree with you, for my usage 3GB per month is sufficient.
i rarely download movies etc

At the end, it won't be better than the fixed rate broadband price and the constant fear of high bills.
*
it is prepaid system, no money no need to top up.
you won't get shocking bill.

wonder 5gb per month of usage will equate to how much after rebate .

how do they calculate normal surfing ? and how do they calculate if we took 1 hr to read certain website page

anyone experience user please contribute
*
do you use any mobile broadband before?
data transfer is the same thing, amount of data transfer to download and upload regardless of what you are doing.
it's not totally a new system.

not load lah.

taking sweet time to concentrate and read
edit: just discover , actually YES website did have a usage calculation . 250 hrs surfing at RM30 per month but youtube is expensive
*
laugh.gif dude, if you use mobile/wireless broadband before then you'll know how it is calculated unless you're coming from fixed broadband.

Added on January 1, 2011, 1:33 pmso how we can expect first class broadband when majority of consumers don't even know how data transfer is calculated.
providers need to educate customers first, then can offer first class service.
